The UAE‘s hospitality industry is undergoing a significant transformation as it gears up for a new era of sustained growth.

With occupancy rates consistently exceeding 40-50% throughout the year, hotels are expanding their workforce and offering competitive salaries to attract top talent.

Traditionally, the hospitality sector in the UAE experienced seasonal hiring peaks during spring and winter.

However, the sustained demand for accommodation has necessitated a year-round recruitment strategy.

As the new busy season approaches, hotels are intensifying their efforts to fill vacant positions across various departments.

To remain competitive, hotels are implementing substantial salary increases, particularly for entry-level and housekeeping roles.

These positions are now offering salaries 20-30% higher than previous years.

Concierge, server, and housekeeping supervisor roles in Dubai hotels command salaries ranging from AED 4,000 to AED 11,000, a notable increase from AED 3,000 to AED 9,000 in 2022-23.

Luxury hotels are also investing in talent acquisition by offering starting salaries of AED 4,800 and above, compared to AED 3,500 to AED 4,000 two years ago.

Senior operational roles now attract salaries between AED 12,000 and AED 18,000, depending on the hotel’s size and brand.

The increased competition for talent within the hospitality sector and the broader labour market has driven the upward trend in salaries.

The industry’s round-the-clock operations make it challenging to find and retain skilled employees, further emphasizing the need for attractive compensation packages.

As the UAE’s tourism industry continues to flourish, the hospitality sector is poised for sustained growth and development.

The accelerated hiring and competitive salary offerings are indicative of the industry’s commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences and supporting the nation’s economic prosperity.
