On World Tourism Day, green investment in tourism will take the center stage with over 500 stakeholders hoped to take part in the deliberations.
Travel and Tourism Association of Goa together with Goa Tourism and SKAL Goa will organize a sequence of events to highlight the event on September 27 th . Also, the stakeholders will talk about the main problems that are afflicting the industry and try to reach at solutions at the event.
Nilesh Shah, TTAG president, green investments in tourism are important as they move beyond the pandemic, as consumer preferences have now changed to become even more eco-friendly than before. United Nations World Tourism Organization, the global body, has recognized the sector and green investments as the theme for the World Tourism Day of 2023.
For the revival of tourism, United Nations World Tourism Organization has recognized investments as one of the main priorities for future growth and development. It throws light on the requirement for better-targeted investments for the planet, people and prosperity.
Jack Ajit Sukhija, TTAG vice-president, said that in tourism, green investments support cultural heritage conservation and responsible tourism, protecting and highlighting the distinct cultural treasures of a place, which in turn augments local communities. With a heritage walk, the World Tourism Day will start.
