Close to Ashford International railway station Travelodge opened its 57th hotel and will now operates at key railway stations to serve HS1 and proposed HS2 rotes which connects the south and north of Britain.
The company will now be able to operate hotels close to the UK’s busiest 200 railway stations.
There is an investment of £5 million for the landlord, Ashford Borough Council and other new 58-room Travelodge has an onsite restaurant called the Bar Café.
Ashford International railway station is just a stone’s throw away and home to HS1.
There are hotels operated by Travelodge at the other end of the HS1 line at St Pancras International railway station.
At eight of Britain’s largest cities the budget hotel chain also operates hotels close to major railway stations connecting the south with the north via the proposed HS2 high speed line.
London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Glasgow and Edinburgh are inclusive of this.
Around four million passenger journeys start, end or pass through Britain’s railway stations each day.
