The World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism would be coming back to Donostia-San Sebastian in Spain. The
event would be held from 5-7 October emphasizing on how tourism can nurture pastoral improvement, create financial flexibility and reserve traditional inheritance.

The forum had the theme, ‘Gastronomy Tourism: Back to the roots’, shedding limelight on the links between product, cuisine and tourism. On the three days of the forum, specialists from the tourism segment, significant experts and official representatives would be taking part in live discussions, important dialogues, practical workshops and live culinary shows with local and global chefs and creators.

Moreover, attendees in the forum will get the chance to pick from five diverse trips to understand and relish the local cuisine.

Accentuating the implication of conserving gastronomic backgrounds, this version will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Mediterranean Diet’s addition on the list of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Besides, the subsidiary event known as, ‘Culinary Plaza’ arranged by Basque Culinary Center will highlight food specialties from places comprising Azerbaijan, Porto (Portugal), Botswana, Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia.

Inhabitants residing around Donostia-San Sebastián would be able to enter the Forum’s setting at
Tabakalera. With the intention of welcoming and networking with members from all over the world, the
forum would be held in a hybrid setup.
