World Tourism Day 2023 – Investment is the center-stage

What is being declared to be the mind-blowing celebration, the official observance will be held of 27 th September in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Through a range of special programs and events, UNWTO’s Member States will mark the occasion in every region.

The Secretary-General, UNWTO, Zurab Pololikashvili said that tourism has never been more important for their finances or for their societies. Its possibility is huge. Therefore, on World Tourism Day 2023, they observe the ability of tourism to perk up growth at the same time, emphasizing the true need for investments to guarantee that such development is all-encompassing and sustainable.

UNWTO will give more stress on Tourism and Green Investments on World Tourism Day 2023. The day will primarily target on the significance of:

 Investment for People, for Planet and for Prosperity 

UNWTO in Riyadh will present its Global Tourism Investment Framework and organize a sequence of high-level panels aiming on the opportunities and challenges in and around investment related to tourism.

Also, the official World Tourism Day celebrations will see the winners of the inaugural UNWTO Women in Tech Startup Competition for the Middle East declared. Till now, World Tourism Day celebration will be the biggest observance. UNWTO will welcome representatives from over 100 of its Member States.
