World Travel Market London 2023, considered the most influential travel and tourism event globally, will unveil the latest industry trends with the release of its Global Report on the show’s opening day, Monday, November 6th. The exclusive WTM Global Travel Report highlights emerging and growing destinations for 2024 and beyond and demonstrates how leisure travellers’ needs and desires are changing. It was put together in collaboration with renowned researchers at Tourism Economics, an Oxford Economics company. The media will have exclusive access to the report, gaining insights into the key developments highlighted during the WTM press conference and media breakfast at the International Media Centre (N1-500) from 10:00-11:00 on Monday, November 6th.

Later that day, there will be a session titled ‘WTM Presents… A Global Travel Report’ which will provide a detailed overview of the full report. This will be followed by a panel
discussion on the ‘WTM Global Travel Report: The Industry Impact’ in association with
Oxford Economics, taking place on the Elevate Stage from 14:15-15:30. Attendees can
expect to gain valuable insights into the evolving travel landscape and consumer preferences, enabling them to better shape their business strategies and plan for the future.

Juliette Losardo, WTM London Exhibition Director was thrilled to launch the first-ever
WTM Global Travel Report, showcasing their commitment to providing the travel
community with the most current insights into trends shaping the sector. He said, “We
partnered with Oxford Economics, a leader in tourism data and economics and the report presents findings from international research, using an expansive databank covering nearly 185 countries worldwide as destinations and as origin markets and all major bilateral tourism flows in terms of visits, nights and spend, as well as unique industry insights, the report gives a comprehensive outlook on tourism.”

The WTM Global Travel Report will explore the factors driving demand in the post-
pandemic era. It will examine how and why travelers are prioritizing their holidays over other types of expenditures and will assess the outlook for various demographics. The authors have extensively researched challenges faced by the travel trade, including crises such as wildfires, strikes, and staff shortages, all of which the sector has had to navigate during its recovery.
