Parramatta is preparing to welcome a new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, marking Hilton’s expansion into one of Western Sydney’s most rapidly developing business, residential and infrastructure centres.

Scheduled to open in late 2028, the 100-key hotel will become part of Deicorp Group’s Cosmopolitan mixed-use development, a major project designed to transform the area with 597 residential apartments alongside retail spaces, commercial facilities and dining destinations.

The arrival of the hotel comes as Western Sydney’s visitor economy experiences strong growth momentum. Rising population numbers, large-scale infrastructure investments and the upcoming operations of Western Sydney International Airport are expected to increase demand for quality accommodation across the region. Major business events, tourism activity and increased connectivity have been identified as important factors driving the need for additional hotel capacity.

Trilogy Hotels has been selected to manage the new property through a hotel management agreement with Deicorp. The partnership represents the third hotel development collaboration between the two organisations, extending their history of working together on hospitality projects throughout Sydney.

Hilton highlighted Parramatta’s expanding economic importance, improved transport links and growing visitor appeal as key reasons behind selecting the location for the DoubleTree by Hilton brand. The development is expected to strengthen the city’s hospitality offering while supporting the continued growth of Western Sydney as a major destination for business and leisure travellers.

“The signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Parramatta reflects Hilton’s continued growth momentum in Australasia and our strategy to expand in high-demand urban markets where we see long-term opportunity,” said Mr Raniga.

“With Parramatta emerging as Sydney’s second central business district, supported by major infrastructure investment and a diverse demand base, this is a strong fit for DoubleTree by Hilton. We are pleased to build a new relationship with Deicorp Group and continue our partnership with Trilogy Hotels as we strengthen Hilton’s presence in Greater Sydney.”

The hotel is set to feature 100 well-designed guest rooms, with sizes ranging from 20 to 45 square metres. Guests will have access to an all-day dining venue and lounge, alongside 667 square metres of flexible event facilities, including meeting rooms, a boardroom and pre-function areas. The property will also provide dedicated fitness and wellness amenities to enhance the overall guest experience.

Connectivity will be one of the hotel’s key advantages, with the Parramatta Light Rail stop located directly next to the development. Parramatta Railway Station and Wharf will also be within close proximity, while the upcoming Sydney Metro will further strengthen access to the precinct. Major destinations including Parramatta Square, the Westmead Health Precinct and Western Sydney University will remain easily accessible.

The development reflects Parramatta’s rapid transformation into a major business, lifestyle and tourism hub, with growing demand for high-quality accommodation across Western Sydney. The project highlights the region’s evolving hospitality landscape and its increasing importance as a destination for visitors, business travellers and events.

Designed by Turner Studio, Cosmopolitan is set to create a vibrant new urban village on the park-side boundary of Parramatta’s CBD. The mixed-use development will feature 597 apartments spread across two 46-storey towers, supported by a three-level podium offering retail spaces, commercial facilities, dining venues, and a hotel. Construction is already progressing, with DoubleTree by Hilton Parramatta expected to welcome guests in the final quarter of 2028.
