Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner to Operate New Vietnam Route
LOT Polish Airlines will deploy its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft on the new Warsaw–Hanoi service, offering passengers a modern wide-body travel experience on the long-haul route.
The aircraft will feature a three-class configuration designed to meet different passenger requirements. The planned cabin layout includes:
- 18 Business Class seats
- 21 Premium Economy seats
- 213 Economy Class seats
The Dreamliner aircraft is widely used for international long-haul operations due to its fuel efficiency, extended flying range and passenger-focused cabin design. The aircraft choice will allow LOT to serve demand from tourists, corporate travellers and passengers travelling between Vietnam, Poland and other European markets.
The aircraft will also provide additional capacity for cargo movement, supporting trade and economic connections between the two countries.
New Travel Opportunities Across Northern Vietnam
The introduction of the direct LOT flight to Hanoi will provide international travellers with easier access to one of Vietnam’s most important cultural and tourism centres.
Located in northern Vietnam, Hanoi is recognised for its historic Old Quarter, traditional architecture, vibrant street markets, lakes and renowned local cuisine. Beyond being a destination itself, the city serves as a major gateway for exploring some of Vietnam’s most famous landscapes and heritage attractions.

Travellers arriving through Hanoi will gain convenient access to Sapa, a mountainous destination known for dramatic rice terraces, green valleys and villages representing diverse ethnic communities. The region has become increasingly popular among international visitors seeking nature-based experiences and cultural tourism.
The new route will also improve connectivity to Ninh Binh, a destination celebrated for its limestone mountains, peaceful rivers, caves and scenic boat journeys. Often described as one of Vietnam’s most spectacular natural areas, Ninh Binh offers travellers an alternative experience away from major urban centres.
Another major attraction accessible from Hanoi is Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for thousands of limestone islands, dramatic rock formations and cruise experiences across the Gulf of Tonkin. The destination remains one of Vietnam’s most recognised international tourism icons.
Hanoi Strengthens LOT’s Growing Asian Network
With the launch of the Hanoi service, the Vietnamese capital will become the fifth Asian long-haul destination in LOT Polish Airlines’ network.
The route will join the carrier’s existing Asian services to Tokyo, Seoul, New Delhi and Bangkok, further strengthening LOT’s presence in the region. The expansion reflects the airline’s continued focus on increasing long-distance connectivity between Europe and Asia.
The new connection is expected to attract multiple passenger segments, including holidaymakers exploring Vietnam, business travellers, Vietnamese communities living in Europe and passengers visiting friends and relatives.

Passengers from other European cities may benefit from connecting through Warsaw before continuing to Vietnam, expanding travel options beyond Poland’s domestic market. The service will also provide Vietnamese travellers with additional access to destinations across LOT’s wider European network.
Tickets for the new flights are available through LOT Polish Airlines’ official sales channels, including the airline’s website, mobile application, contact centre and authorised travel partners.
