Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) continues to grow its international hospitality offering by adding two regional hotel groups in Turkey and Poland to its network. Partnering with The Marmara Hotels and PURO Hotels is another significant step in GHA’s global expansion, connecting Turkish heritage with Polish design and offering unique experiences centered around destinations. Fifteen (15) new properties will join the GHA DISCOVERY loyalty program as a result of this expansion. Travellers gain the opportunity to take culturally enriching stays, and hotel groups retain their local identities while growing internationally.
Together, The Marmara Hotels and PURO Hotels will bring 15 new properties to Global Hotel Alliance’s award-winning loyalty programme, GHA DISCOVERY. The Marmara Hotels, with six properties across Turkey, has already joined the programme, while PURO Hotels’ nine-property portfolio in Poland is scheduled to become part of GHA DISCOVERY in the third quarter of 2026. The expansion further enhances GHA’s diverse collection of independent and regional hotel brands, offering members more unique stays and destination experiences worldwide.
“Independent hotel brands are increasingly looking for ways to reach more international travellers while staying true to their local identity,” said GHA CEO Chris Hartley. “GHA enables brands to achieve this by combining global reach and scale with the freedom to maintain their individuality. With their amazing history and unique culture, Turkey and Poland are destinations experiencing significant growth in international demand, as people expand their travel horizons, and we are now able to offer a fabulous choice of hotels in these markets.”
Built on more than 40 years of hospitality excellence, The Marmara Hotels represents the essence of Turkish culture, combining modern comfort with a deep connection to local identity. Founded in Istanbul, the brand offers guests experiences shaped by the unique character of each destination, from its iconic locations around Taksim Square and Pera to its coastal retreats in Bodrum and Antalya.

Each property reflects the warmth, tradition and generosity that define Turkish hospitality, now allowing GHA DISCOVERY members to experience the brand’s distinctive approach to travel. Beyond accommodation, The Marmara Hotels is committed to protecting cultural heritage, with its portfolio including restored historic treasures such as Esma Sultan Palace on the Bosphorus and the beautifully preserved Zeyrek Çinili Hamam, blending history with contemporary guest experiences.
PURO Hotels brings a fresh approach to urban hospitality by combining thoughtful design, artistic expression, local culture and culinary experiences across Poland’s leading cities. The brand currently operates eight hotels in destinations including Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, Poznań, Gdańsk and Łódź, creating spaces that go beyond traditional stays.
Inspired by Nordic design principles and shaped by the character of each neighbourhood, PURO Hotels focuses on creating meaningful experiences for today’s travellers. Every element, from interiors and art collections to dining concepts and social spaces, is carefully designed to encourage discovery and connection.
More than just hotels, PURO properties act as vibrant meeting points where guests and local communities gather for food, culture, creativity and collaboration. Continuing its international growth strategy, PURO Hotels is preparing to expand beyond Poland with upcoming openings in Budapest in 2026 and Prague in 2027, bringing its distinctive hospitality philosophy to new European destinations.

“These brands are particularly exciting additions to GHA, marking the arrival of our first homegrown Polish and Turkish hotel brands. Each brings a strong sense of place, deep local expertise and a distinctive hospitality culture to our portfolio. This is at the heart of what we want to offer our members: authentic experiences rooted in the destinations they visit, while giving independent brands a global platform to share their unique stories,” concludes Hartley.
