Vietnam Airlines Boosts Hanoi Tourism With Unique Autumn Campaign Celebrating Culture and Experiences
On September 17, Hanoi and Vietnam Airlines announced a new tourism campaign to celebrate the city’s culture and offer visitors a multi-sensory trip. The campaign, ‘Touch Hanoi’s Autumn 2026,’ promotes the various autumn activities in Hanoi. Using all five of a traveler’s senses, the campaign hopes to attract visitors to eat, smell, listen to, and enjoy the sites of Hanoi. The campaign hopes to promote Hanoi as a travel destination where visitors will want to and be able to, experience and enjoy a longer stay.
Launched as part of the long-term cooperation between Vietnam Airlines and Hanoi for cultural and tourism development from 2025 to 2030, the campaign positions autumn as one of the city’s most distinctive travel seasons. It connects air travel with Hanoi’s cultural experiences, hospitality services and local activities while promoting the city as an attractive destination for both domestic and international travellers.
Hanoi Introduces Five Senses Approach to Autumn Tourism Growth
The central idea behind Touch Hanoi’s Autumn 2026 is to allow visitors to discover the city through five different experiences linked to human senses. The campaign transforms Hanoi’s autumn atmosphere into a complete travel journey where tourists can explore local traditions, modern attractions and cultural highlights.
The five experiences include:
- Touch Autumn Flavors focusing on Hanoi’s seasonal cuisine and local specialties.
- Touch Autumn Scents highlighting the unique fragrances associated with the city’s autumn atmosphere.
- Touch Autumn Sounds celebrating music and artistic performances.
- Touch Autumn Rhythms introducing sports and outdoor experiences.
- Touch Autumn Colors showcasing Hanoi’s heritage sites, streets and modern urban identity.
Through these activities, the campaign aims to create a deeper connection between travellers and Hanoi by moving beyond traditional sightseeing and offering immersive experiences.
Vietnam Airlines Connects Travel and Culture Through Seasonal Experiences
Vietnam Airlines is playing a key role in expanding the reach of the autumn tourism campaign by connecting visitors with Hanoi’s cultural offerings. The airline will work with embassies, international organisations and travel companies to promote the destination across wider markets.
As part of the initiative, Vietnam Airlines will provide discounts of up to 10 percent on domestic flights to Hanoi from September 18. The airline will also introduce special service packages linked to the campaign, encouraging more travellers to explore the capital during the autumn season.
The partnership reflects a wider effort to strengthen tourism links between aviation services and destination experiences. By combining flight connectivity with cultural activities, Hanoi aims to create more attractive travel packages for visitors.
Hanoi Autumn Flavours Take Flight With Special Culinary Experiences
Food will be one of the major highlights of the campaign, allowing travellers to experience Hanoi’s autumn cuisine both on the ground and in the air.
The campaign will begin with Touch Autumn Flavors, featuring traditional seasonal dishes that represent Hanoi’s culinary identity. A special “Touch the Moon” flight on September 25, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, will introduce passengers to a menu inspired by the flavours of Hanoi.
The onboard experience will feature traditional autumn delicacies, including com, a famous young green rice speciality, along with ripe dracontomelon, persimmons and other local products associated with the season.
From October 2026, Vietnam Airlines will expand the seasonal culinary programme to selected domestic and international flights through specially designed business-class meals. The initiative aims to bring Hanoi’s food culture closer to travellers even before they arrive in the city.
The campaign will also introduce Hanoi’s autumn atmosphere through fragrance experiences using the airline’s signature LotuScent fragrance, adding another sensory element to the journey.
Music and Heritage Experiences Highlight Hanoi’s Cultural Appeal
Music will become another important part of the autumn tourism programme through Touch Autumn Sounds. The Vietnam Airlines Classic – Hanoi Concert, scheduled for October 2 and 3 at Ho Guom Opera House, will highlight the city’s connection between heritage and contemporary arts.
The event aims to present Hanoi not only as a destination known for historic landmarks but also as a growing cultural centre with a vibrant modern creative scene.
By combining traditional identity with contemporary performances, the campaign seeks to strengthen Hanoi’s reputation as a destination where visitors can experience both history and modern culture.
Outdoor Activities Bring New Energy to Hanoi Tourism
The campaign will also encourage visitors to explore Hanoi through outdoor activities under Touch Autumn Rhythms.
A major highlight will be an open dragon boat and stand-up paddleboard competition held at West Lake on October 3 and 4. The event will combine sports, nature and cultural elements, creating an interactive experience for residents and tourists.
The programme will continue with the Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles Invitational 2026 golf tournament on November 7. The event will connect tourism, leisure activities and business networking while promoting Hanoi as a destination for diverse travel experiences.
Run for Love Event Celebrates Hanoi’s Autumn Landscape
The final stage of the campaign, Touch Autumn Colors, will showcase Hanoi’s unique visual identity through the Run for Love community race on October 25.
Thousands of participants will travel through areas featuring the city’s historic heritage and modern urban landscapes. The event will allow visitors and local communities to experience Hanoi’s streets, architecture and cultural atmosphere in an active and engaging way.
The race represents the campaign’s broader goal of turning Hanoi’s autumn season into an experience that visitors can participate in rather than simply observe.
Hanoi Strengthens Position as a Cultural Tourism Destination
With its combination of cuisine, fragrance, music, sports and heritage experiences, Touch Hanoi’s Autumn 2026 creates a new approach to seasonal tourism promotion. The campaign highlights Hanoi’s cultural strengths while offering travellers more reasons to visit during one of the city’s most attractive periods.
Vietnamese Airlines and Hanoi have announced the campaign, “Touch Hanoi’s Autumn 2026.” It uses multiple mediums including food, scent, music, sports, and the arts to portray Hanoi’s autumnal appeal.
The campaign intends to expand Hanoi’s seasonal cultural tourism by developing off-season air connections and transforming seasonal differences into pluses for Hanoi’s tourism.
By bringing together aviation connectivity, local traditions and modern tourism activities, Vietnam Airlines and Hanoi are working to develop autumn as a signature travel season for the capital. The initiative aims to increase tourism demand, improve visitor experiences and encourage travellers to return to discover more of Hanoi’s evolving cultural landscape.
