Seabourn is expanding its global luxury cruising portfolio by launching the Ruby Collection, a special programme of fifty four anniversary voyages for 2028 that spans destinations from the Caribbean and Mediterranean to Antarctica. Created to celebrate the cruise line’s fortieth anniversary, the collection combines newly designed itineraries, world cruises, polar expeditions, exclusive onboard experiences, and access to smaller ports that larger ships cannot reach, giving travelers more immersive and destination rich luxury cruise options worldwide.
The Ruby Collection covers destinations throughout the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Japan, Southeast Asia, Alaska, Northern Europe, Canada, the Arctic, South America, and Antarctica. The programme blends classic itineraries with newly designed sailings, allowing travelers to visit smaller ports and remote locations that are inaccessible to larger cruise ships.
One of the major highlights of the collection is the return of yacht style voyages inspired by Seabourn’s early years. These itineraries focus on intimate harbors, extended stays, and relaxed schedules that encourage guests to spend more time exploring coastal destinations. Caribbean sailings range from seven to fourteen days, connecting islands including Bequia, Martinique, Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Barbados, Sint Maarten, the British Virgin Islands, and St. Kitts. Several holiday departures feature the cruise line’s signature beach celebration at Carambola Beach in St. Kitts.
“Some journeys stay with travelers forever,” said Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn. “Our own journey began in 1988 when we redefined cruising with the world’s first fleet of luxury small ships, designed to feel like private yachts. As we celebrate 40 years of exploration, that same pioneering spirit shapes The Ruby Collection, featuring voyages across our ocean and expedition fleet that reflect where we began while pushing further into the places and experiences that define what exploration means with Seabourn.”

In the Mediterranean, guests can explore destinations across the Aegean Sea, the French Riviera, Sardinia, Corsica, and Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast. Many voyages include overnight stays in select ports, providing extra time to experience local culture, dining, and nightlife. Travelers can also enjoy Marina Day, when the ship opens its watersports platform for complimentary activities directly from the vessel.
Asia also plays an important role in the anniversary collection. New itineraries combine Japan and Southeast Asia with extended stays in major cities including Shanghai, Osaka, and Kobe while adding new ports in Taiwan such as Taichung and Tainan. Some departures are scheduled around regional festivals, allowing guests to experience local traditions and seasonal celebrations. Culinary experiences also remain a key feature through market visits and regional food focused excursions.

The Ruby Collection expands Seabourn’s Alaska programme with new destinations including Petersburg, Valdez, and the Chiswell Islands. Many sailings are scheduled during the height of summer when extended daylight hours provide more opportunities for glacier viewing, wildlife observation, and scenic cruising. Guests can also choose a land extension featuring rail travel into Denali National Park, flightseeing experiences, and additional sightseeing before boarding their cruise.
Canada and New England itineraries also return with a renewed focus on the region’s coastal landscapes and maritime heritage. Selected voyages include overnight stays in St. John’s, Newfoundland, a return visit to Red Bay, and scenic cruising along the St. Lawrence River.

Expedition cruising remains one of the strongest elements of the Ruby Collection. Arctic voyages explore Iceland, Greenland, Svalbard, the Faroe Islands, Ireland, Labrador, and remote Canadian coastlines. Guests can participate in Zodiac excursions, guided landings, and wildlife observation while visiting destinations known for glaciers, dramatic fjords, and Arctic wildlife.
In the Southern Hemisphere, Seabourn’s expedition ships will operate voyages linking Antarctica with the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, Brazil, Chilean Fjords, and the Juan Fernández Islands. These cruises include opportunities to explore remote coastlines, observe penguin colonies and marine wildlife, and participate in kayaking and Zodiac expeditions. One extended voyage also crosses the Atlantic while visiting isolated islands including Saint Helena and Tristan da Cunha.
The centrepiece of the anniversary programme is the Cape to Cape World Cruise, a one hundred twenty day journey covering more than twenty six thousand nautical miles. The itinerary visits fifty eight destinations across twenty three countries on five continents while including iconic locations such as Antarctica, Easter Island, the Falkland Islands, and Cape Town. Guests will also enjoy complimentary expedition style experiences in selected destinations led by a dedicated expedition team. A shorter one hundred twelve day version of the itinerary will also be available.
Another standout offering is the Grand Expedition Pole to Pole, a ninety six day voyage connecting the High Arctic with Antarctica. The expedition explores fourteen countries and territories while covering more than twenty thousand nautical miles. Travelers can also choose a shorter eighty two day version beginning later in the season.
