Cologne Bonn Airport Boosts Winter Travel As Eurowings Restarts Dubai And Jeddah Flights

Cologne Bonn Airport has more winter travel opportunities with Eurowings connecting passengers to two popular international destinations: Dubai and Jeddah. Eurowings will start serving Dubai from November 3 (after the fall break for North Rhine-Westphalia); the service will have three flights weekly. Eurowings will start the Jeddah route in Saudi Arabia on November 12 and also provide winter weekly service with three flights.

“We are delighted that the two Eurowings destinations, Dubai and Jeddah, are once again featured on our departure board this winter,” says Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. “Both destinations are of particular importance to our airport and a real asset to the winter timetable. They offer our passengers attractive direct travel options and strengthen our airport’s international connections.”

Starting 3 November, Eurowings will operate its Dubai flights every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with return services departing from Dubai on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The airline will introduce a new destination airport for the route during the upcoming winter schedule, with flights operating to Dubai International Airport (DXB) for the first time. The service will be operated by an Airbus A320neo, with a journey time of approximately six and a half hours. From 1 December, passengers will also have the option to reserve Eurowings’ Premium BIZ Seat, featuring an exclusive 2×2 seating layout, increased legroom and enhanced privacy.

Eurowings will also bring back its Cologne/Bonn–Jeddah connection for the winter season, restarting flights to the Saudi Arabian Red Sea city from 12 November. The route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, while return flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The airline will deploy an Airbus A321neo aircraft for the service, with flights taking slightly less than six hours.

Alongside the renewed Middle East connections, Eurowings will maintain several seasonal routes during the winter timetable that were previously mainly available in summer. Flights to Klagenfurt, Austria, will continue twice weekly from 2 November on Mondays and Fridays, with an additional Wednesday service planned during the Christmas period. The airline will also continue direct flights to Pristina, Kosovo, throughout the winter season, operating every Saturday from 7 November, with an extra Wednesday flight added during the Christmas holidays.
