SeaDream Yacht Club is moving forward with its first new yacht in 25 years and creating the largest expansion of its ultra-luxury yachting experience. The new yacht will introduce SeaDream III and begin its voyages in July 2029. The arrival of SeaDream III will significantly expand the company’s global reach. During its first two years of service, the yacht is planned to explore six continents, 73 countries and 364 ports, bringing guests closer to remote islands, coastal cities and unique maritime destinations while maintaining the intimate service style associated with SeaDream I and SeaDream II.

SeaDream III Marks a New Era for Luxury Yacht Travel

SeaDream Yacht Club’s latest addition represents a significant milestone for the family-owned luxury cruise company. Based in Palm Beach, the company said the new yacht will introduce more global itineraries while preserving its established philosophy of personalised service, relaxed luxury and private yacht-style experiences.

SeaDream III has been designed around the idea of slow exploration rather than traditional large-scale cruising. The vessel will focus on reaching distinctive ports that larger ships cannot access easily, allowing guests to experience destinations in a more personal and immersive way.

The yacht will continue SeaDream’s signature approach, including exceptional dining, flexible daily schedules, informal onboard experiences and a relaxed atmosphere designed to make travellers feel as if they are sailing on their own private yacht.

A Boutique Yacht Designed for Exclusive Experiences

SeaDream III will measure approximately 151 metres (495 feet) in length and will welcome around 200 guests. Supporting the intimate guest experience, the yacht will operate with a crew number close to its passenger capacity, ensuring a high level of personalised attention throughout each voyage.

Accommodation will be spread across five decks, featuring a wider range of suites, Commodore staterooms and connecting room options. Four guest decks will offer private balconies, providing travellers with personal outdoor spaces to enjoy ocean views and changing landscapes.

The yacht will include larger accommodation options designed for both shorter holidays and extended journeys. This flexibility will support travellers looking for longer luxury escapes, including world voyages lasting several months.

Outdoor Spaces and Wellness Take Centre Stage

SeaDream III’s design places strong emphasis on outdoor living. The yacht will feature spacious upper decks, a dedicated pool area and multiple dining and relaxation spaces where guests can enjoy the surrounding destinations.

The vessel will introduce three dedicated watersports marinas, expanding the company’s existing ocean activities. These facilities will allow guests to access the sea directly for activities and experiences during selected port visits and anchorage stops.

SeaDream III Begins Maiden Voyage from Hong Kong to Japan

SeaDream III will officially begin its maiden voyage on 10 July 2029, departing from Hong Kong and sailing towards Japan through the Ryukyu Islands and along the country’s Pacific coastline.

The 10-night inaugural sailing will conclude in Tokyo, where the yacht’s official christening ceremony is scheduled for 21 July 2029.

The first voyage will feature extended stays in destinations including Ishigaki and Yakushima, along with calls at Okinawa, Amami Oshima, Kochi and Shimizu. These destinations highlight the yacht’s ability to visit culturally rich islands and smaller coastal locations.

Following the maiden sailing, SeaDream III will continue with a series of Japan and South Korea itineraries. Planned voyages will include northern and western Japan, South Korea’s coastal destinations and Japan’s southern islands.

Japan and South Korea Voyages Highlight the First Season

The yacht’s inaugural season will feature several extended journeys from Tokyo, including four 14-night round-trip itineraries combining Japan and South Korea.

Destinations planned for these voyages include historic cities and coastal locations such as Hakodate, Aomori, Akita, Kanazawa, Hiroshima, Kobe and Osaka. Guests will also experience views of Mount Fuji from Shimizu and Tagonoura, along with cultural highlights in Busan and Jeju in South Korea.

The itineraries will also explore Japan’s island destinations, including Yakushima, Amami Oshima and Ishigaki, offering travellers access to landscapes, traditions and natural environments beyond the country’s major tourism centres.

Expanding Across Asia, Australia and New Zealand

After its first season in Japan, SeaDream III will expand its deployment across Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.

Future voyages will connect major destinations such as Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore with island destinations including Bali and Komodo. The yacht will also visit Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and Tasmania before reaching Sydney for a New Year celebration.

The company said the yacht’s smaller size will allow it to offer access to unique ports and coastal areas while maintaining the personalised service that defines the SeaDream brand.

Global Deployment Covers Europe, North America and Beyond

In 2030, SeaDream III will continue its worldwide journey by sailing west from Asia towards India, the Arabian Peninsula and the Mediterranean before reaching London.

From the UK capital, the yacht will operate voyages across the British Isles, the Baltic region, coastal Norway, Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland.

The vessel will later cross the North Atlantic to Canada, continuing through the St. Lawrence River and into the Great Lakes. Planned destinations include Montreal, Chicago, Toronto and Detroit, along with coastal areas such as Georgian Bay, Lake Superior and the Niagara Peninsula.

The yacht will then travel along the United States East Coast before arriving at West Palm Beach, near SeaDream Yacht Club’s US headquarters.

From there, SeaDream III will explore the Caribbean, Central America, Colombia’s Caribbean coastline and Panama, further strengthening the company’s presence across the Americas.

SeaDream III to Launch 180-Night World Voyage in 2031

One of the highlights of SeaDream III’s early years will be its planned 180-night World Voyage, departing from West Palm Beach on 5 January 2031 and ending in London on 5 July 2031.

The extended journey will take guests through some of the world’s most iconic maritime regions. After crossing the Panama Canal, the yacht will follow the Pacific coast of South America, visiting Ecuador, Peru and Chile.

The voyage will continue across the South Pacific, including destinations such as Easter Island, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Niue, Tonga, Fiji and Vanuatu.

From there, SeaDream III will sail through Australia, Indonesia and Southeast Asia before reaching Sri Lanka, the Maldives, India and the Arabian Peninsula.

The final stages will include Egypt, Jordan, the Suez Canal, Mediterranean destinations and Europe’s Atlantic coastline before completing the global journey in London.
