Thailand Makes Culinary History as Anantara Siam Bangkok Sets Guinness World Record With 101.15-Metre Mango Sticky Rice

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel has secured a remarkable place in culinary history after creating a 101.15-metre-long mango sticky rice presentation, officially earning a Guinness World Records™ title for the world’s longest mango sticky rice. The extraordinary achievement brought together internationally acclaimed chefs, the hotel’s culinary specialists and Thailand’s rich gastronomic traditions, transforming one of the country’s most beloved desserts into a record-breaking showcase.
The ambitious culinary undertaking formed part of the World Gourmet Festival 2026, where MICHELIN-recognised chefs joined forces with Anantara Siam Bangkok’s kitchen brigade to recreate the iconic Thai delicacy on an unprecedented scale. Every stage of preparation, from cooking the aromatic glutinous rice and selecting perfectly ripened mangoes to carefully arranging the dessert into one continuous creation, required meticulous coordination, technical expertise and collective effort. The successful attempt highlighted the hotel’s culinary capabilities while placing Thailand’s celebrated food heritage in the international spotlight.
The international culinary line-up featured several distinguished chefs, including Georgiana Viou from L’Ami in Cotonou, Heros De Agostinis of INEO in Rome, Josiah Citrin of Mélisse & Citrin in California, Arnaud Dunand of Maison Dunand in Bangkok, Paul Gamauf of EDVARD in Vienna, Supakarn “Hong” Lienpanich of Dara Cuisine Phuket and Cho Eunjung of Honeybee Seoul. Their participation reflected the festival’s international appeal and its role in encouraging creative exchanges between leading culinary professionals.
Representing Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, the in-house culinary team was spearheaded by Executive Chef Justin Paul Baziuk, supported by Giuseppe Bonura, Chef de Cuisine at Biscotti; Marco Chavez, Chef de Cuisine at Madison; Axel Javier Correa Mancera, Chef de Cuisine at Guilty Bangkok; and Akkawin Pitrachart, Executive Thai Chef at Spice Market. Their combined experience played an important role in executing the intricate preparation and presentation required to achieve the historic milestone.

Beyond setting a world record, the initiative also delivered a meaningful social contribution. Following the celebration, the mango sticky rice was handed over to Scholars of Sustenance Thailand (SOS Thailand), a food-rescue organisation dedicated to collecting safe, nutritious surplus food and distributing it to vulnerable communities. This ensured that the remarkable culinary creation served a valuable purpose beyond its record-breaking achievement.
By connecting an internationally recognised culinary accomplishment with responsible food redistribution, Anantara Siam Bangkok demonstrated how large-scale gastronomic events can celebrate local identity while supporting wider community needs. The initiative reinforced the hotel’s commitment to Thai culinary heritage, sustainability and socially responsible hospitality, turning a spectacular festival highlight into an example of how exceptional dining experiences can create a positive impact beyond the hotel itself.

Beyond setting a Guinness World Records™ milestone, the extraordinary 101.15-metre creation honoured Thailand’s rich cultural traditions, exceptional culinary artistry and strong sense of togetherness.
