Lufthansa Aligns With British Airways And More As Global Carriers Revive Dubai Travel Ahead Of Winter 2026

Lufthansa and major global carriers revive Dubai travel boosting winter 2026 connections and choice. Dubai is set to see a significant increase in international flight connections as a number of global airlines plan to reinstate their services at the Dubai International Airport in the winter of 2026. Lufthansa, British, Aegean Airlines, Air France, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings, KLM, Singapore Airlines, SWISS and Wizz Air are among others set to participate in the next phase of the region’s recovery.
The returning services could significantly expand choices for travellers heading to the UAE from Europe and Asia. Emirates and flydubai, meanwhile, continue operating their international networks as normal, maintaining Dubai’s position as one of the world’s most connected aviation hubs.

International Airlines Prepare For Dubai Winter Travel Return
Several overseas airlines had suspended or reduced Dubai operations following disruption before summer. One of the major challenges affecting the return of foreign carriers has been access to suitable insurance for operations in the region.
That situation has delayed the restoration of some routes. However, a growing number of airlines have now outlined plans to restart services before the end of 2026.

The timing is important for Dubai. Winter traditionally represents one of the city’s most attractive travel periods, with cooler temperatures supporting sightseeing, outdoor attractions, shopping, entertainment and leisure tourism.
A wider return of international flights could therefore provide travellers with greater flexibility while strengthening connections between Dubai and major European and Asian cities.

Dubai Travel Heads Into A Stronger Winter Network
The return of Lufthansa, British, Aegean Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings, Singapore Airlines, SWISS and Wizz Air signals a gradual rebuilding of international connectivity at Dubai International Airport.
Air France and KLM remain subject to further operational developments, highlighting that schedules can still change.
Lufthansa joins British Airways among other companies in resuming services to Dubai to boost international traffic and travel to the Middle East region ahead of winter 2026. The flights that will resume offer more options in addition to increased access to the region’s tourism hotspot.
Even so, the overall direction points towards a broader international flight network as Dubai enters winter 2026. With more European and Asian routes returning, travellers could gain greater choice, stronger connectivity and more options for reaching one of the world’s leading tourism and aviation hubs.
