The meetings, conventions, and sports sector in Puerto Rico achieved over $192.3 million in sales for fiscal year 2024. This marks an 8% increase from the previous year and a remarkable 249% rise compared to 2019, the last pre-pandemic year when the industry earned $55.1 million. Efforts in the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) market resulted in 239,075 room night bookings—22% higher than the previous year and 87% above pandemic-era figures. This impressive performance makes 2024 the most successful fiscal year for this segment in over a decade.
