Located on Kongens Nytorv, also known as King’s Square, in the heart of Copenhagen, Hotel d’Angleterre has welcomed guests for more than 270 years and remains one of the city’s most recognised luxury hospitality landmarks.

Prista von Bonhorst joins the property after serving as General Manager of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts in Lisbon, where he developed experience in luxury hotel operations, service excellence and strategic leadership.

Throughout his career, he has held senior positions across the European luxury hospitality sector, including leadership roles at Bairro Alto Hotel and other prestigious hotel brands. His background includes managing hotel operations, enhancing guest experiences and building high-performing teams.

The appointment marks a new leadership chapter for Hotel d’Angleterre as the property continues to strengthen its position within Copenhagen’s premium hospitality market. With growing demand for luxury city stays and personalised travel experiences, the hotel aims to continue delivering exceptional service while preserving its long-standing heritage.

Prista von Bonhorst’s international perspective and operational expertise are expected to support the hotel’s future development, combining traditional European hospitality values with modern luxury expectations.

Prista von Bonhorst takes over the leadership role from Lucas Johansson, who served as the hotel’s head for 13 years.

During Johansson’s tenure, Hotel d’Angleterre further developed its position within the luxury hospitality market in Copenhagen and Northern Europe. The Board stated: “On behalf of the Board and the Remmen family, we would like to sincerely thank Lucas Johansson for his years of dedication and commitment to the hotel. We are grateful for his contribution and the lasting impact he has made, and we wish him all the very best for the future”.

Located in Copenhagen’s iconic main square, Kongens Nytorv, Hotel d’Angleterre dates back to 1755 and remains one of the city’s most celebrated hospitality landmarks. The historic property has welcomed many notable guests over the centuries, including renowned Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. Recognised as Copenhagen’s only Leading Hotel of the World, the hotel is admired for its refined Scandinavian interiors, timeless elegance and exceptional luxury standards.
