In a significant move towards sustainable travel, Air France and SNCF French Railways are expanding their renowned “Train + Air” service by adding 8 new routes, providing customers with seamless connectivity between train and air travel. This extension broadens the network to a total of 41 routes, departing from 22 strategically located train stations across France.

The newly introduced routes connect Aix-en-Provence, Arras, Laval, and Lille Flandres to Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports, while Perpignan now offers a direct link to Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. This expansion enhances accessibility for travelers, promoting eco-friendly transportation options.

For almost three decades, Air France and SNCF have pioneered the “Train + Air” service, allowing customers a unified reservation experience for both their train and air journey. Notably, the service guarantees a seat on the next available flight or TGV INOUI train at no extra cost if there are delays.

Since 2022, the entire journey has been digitized, empowering customers to check in online at airfrance.com, covering both train and air travel. Furthermore, passengers in Air France’s La Première or Business Cabin enjoy first-class travel on SNCF trains.

This expansion not only reflects the commitment to sustainability but also showcases the seamless integration of digital services into the travel experience. With an extensive network now encompassing major cities such as Marseille, Lyon, and Bordeaux, Air France continues to redefine modern travel by connecting more passengers to diverse destinations.

As part of the broader collaboration, Air France and KLM offer a combined ticket service from Brussels-Midi station to Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Schiphol, as well as from Antwerp-Central to Amsterdam Schiphol. This strategic partnership ensures a holistic and connected travel experience for passengers departing from Belgium.

The evolution of the “Train + Air” service underscores Air France and SNCF’s commitment to providing sustainable, convenient, and interconnected travel solutions, setting a new standard in the era of modern transportation.
