Air France is meeting the growing demand by expanding its global network, especially as France prepares to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, in which Air France is a proud partner. The airline is gearing up to accommodate delegations, athletes, and fans flocking to the world’s biggest event.

In the realm of long-haul flights, Air France is boosting its capacity by 9% and extending its reach to 85 destinations. By summer 2024, North America will witness an increase in Air France’s presence, with notable developments including:

For the Cannes Film Festival, Air France will operate 2 special flights between Los Angeles, USA, and Nice, France, utilizing Airbus A350-900s outfitted with state-of-the-art cabins. During the summer, Air France will operate over 210 weekly flights to the United States, serving a total of 17 destinations, and nearly 60 flights to 5 Canadian cities.

Expanding beyond North America, Air France’s major plans for summer 2024 also encompass:

Moreover, key African and Indian Ocean routes will see increased frequencies, with daily flights to Cotonou, Benin, and Antananarivo, Madagascar, and two daily flights shared between Yaoundé and Douala in Cameroon. Flights to Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, will now be operated with Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Air France’s total long-haul capacity will see a 9% increase compared to 2023, supported by the ongoing rollout of new travel cabins on Boeing 777-300ERs and Airbus A350-900s. These upgraded cabins, available in Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes, are central to the airline’s enhanced travel experience and will be introduced on additional routes this summer.

In the short- and medium-haul sector, Air France will serve 102 destinations, including 45 seasonal routes in France and Europe. Three new routes from Paris-Charles de Gaulle will connect to Verona, Italy (up to 3 flights weekly from April 2), Narvik-Lofoten, Norway (1 flight every Saturday from June 15 to August 31), and Kalamata, Greece (1 flight every Saturday from July 6 to August 31). Additionally, flights to Tromsø, Norway, previously only available in winter, will now operate through the summer with up to 2 weekly flights.

Transavia France, the low-cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group, will fly to 116 destinations in 33 countries across 206 routes, maintaining its position as the top low-cost carrier operating from Paris’ airports.
