Air France, operating under the stylized banner of Air France, serves as France’s premier national airline, with its headquarters situated in the municipality of Tremblay-en-France. In a recent expansion of its services, AIRFRANCE has announced the inauguration of a new route connecting Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport with Verona Villafranca (VRN) Airport. This service is scheduled to commence on April 2, offering flights three times a week, further enriching the airline’s extensive network. As a key entity under the Air France–KLM Group umbrella, AIRFRANCE also plays a pivotal role as one of the founding members of the SkyTeam global airline alliance, showcasing its commitment to global aviation connectivity and cooperation.
The Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, often referred to by its other names such as Roissy Airport or simply Paris CDG, stands as the principal international gateway to Paris, France. Since its opening in 1974, located in Roissy-en-France, about 23 km northeast of Paris, the airport has been a central hub for international and domestic flights. Its name honors Charles de Gaulle, a notable figure in World War II and a former President of France, emphasizing its historical and national significance.
On the Italian front, Verona Villafranca Airport, known to some as Valerio Catullo Airport or simply Villafranca Airport, marks its territory approximately 10 km southwest of Verona, Italy. Its strategic location near the convergence of the A4 Milan-Venice and A22 Modena-Brenner motorways makes it an accessible point for travelers and a significant node in the region’s transport infrastructure. The airport serves as a gateway to the picturesque landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Verona, offering a portal to the allure of Italy’s northeastern regions.
The new service by AIRFRANCE not only underscores the airline’s ongoing efforts to broaden its global reach but also enhances the connectivity between France and Italy, fostering increased travel and cultural exchange between these two historic European nations.
