On March 14th, Aubervilliers hosted the “Opportunities for all – the Games are recruiting” recruitment forum, spearheaded by Seine-Saint-Denis DRIEETS (Regional Department for Economy, Employment, Labour, and Solidarity) in anticipation of France’s hosting of the world’s largest sporting event in 2024.

This endeavor, orchestrated by PHILEOG agency, aligns seamlessly with the drive to revitalize local communities, supported by SODESI (a company specializing in fostering employment opportunities in service and industrial sectors), a subsidiary of Air France dedicated to invigorating economies and enriching the appeal of locales where it operates.

At the forum, 70 companies were stationed across five themed villages representing various job prospects associated with the Games, spanning security, hospitality, sanitation, transportation, logistics, energy, and sports and special events.

A cohort of 6,000 pre-registered visitors, primed by employment partners including DRIEETS, France Travail, local administrations, and public employment services, seized the opportunity to apply for the 12,000 job openings offered by participating companies.

This dual commitment – bolstering local communities through job creation and advancing CSR policies – underscores Air France’s dedication to its mission of community rejuvenation via its subsidiary SODESI. SODESI, wholly owned by Air France, channels efforts into financing local ventures that foster employment, with a keen focus on grassroots organizations, associations, and social enterprises. It serves as the primary conduit for Air France’s engagement in this realm.

Beyond community regeneration, this commitment mirrors Air France’s social, societal, and environmental ethos. Initiatives are underway to support women, seniors, youth, individuals with disabilities, as well as those lacking formal qualifications and at risk of unemployment. SODESI has also forged thematic agreements on ecological transition to bolster projects addressing contemporary environmental imperatives.

Through its initiatives across eight targeted employment sectors, SODESI has already subsidized nearly 150 regeneration projects and facilitated over 5,000 employments.
