Air France unveils direct LA-French Riviera flights for Cannes Film Festival & Monaco F1 Grand Prix

Air France is set to conduct two exclusive flights on May 13 and 27, 2024, providing a direct route between Los Angeles (USA) and Nice (France). These flights cater to the surging demand from customers on the US West Coast seeking to experience the allure of the French Riviera and attend prominent events like the Cannes International Film Festival and the Monaco F1 Grand Prix, where Air France serves as an official partner.

Under the theme “Air France connects Hollywood to the Cannes Film Festival,” these flights will be operated by Airbus A350 aircraft featuring the airline’s latest cabin innovations. In Business class, passengers can enjoy a new sliding door for enhanced privacy, converting each seat into a spacious full-flat bed. Premium Economy boasts the latest recliner-type seats, while Economy offers ergonomic seat foam, a 119° recline, and 79cm of legroom. All cabins provide in-flight Wi-Fi and wide High-Definition individual touch screens.

Flight schedules (local time):

• May 13, 2024 – AF041 – Departs Los Angeles at 13:15, arriving in Nice at 9:35 the following day.
• May 27, 2024 – AF040 — Departs Nice at 13:55, arriving in Los Angeles at 17:05 the same day.

Additionally, Air France will operate four special flights between New York JFK and Nice for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity from June 17 to 21, 2024, utilizing Airbus A350 aircraft with new cabins.

Highlighting the environmental efforts, the Airbus A350 in Air France’s long-haul fleet reduces CO2 emissions by 25% and decreases noise footprint by 40%.

Expanding its US service, Air France is adding Phoenix (Arizona) as a new destination, starting May 23, 2024. With this addition, Air France will serve 17 destinations in the United States during the 2024 summer season.

For the 44th consecutive year, Air France remains a proud partner of the Cannes Film Festival, showcasing its enduring passion for cinema. The airline’s commitment to cinematic experiences is evident through its extensive in-flight entertainment, featuring a curated selection of French films and award-winning movies from previous Cannes Film Festivals across all long-haul cabins.
