After the adverse poll by Air Transat flight aides on the conditional contract for the rekindling of their cooperative settlement, the organization has decided to recommence deliberations with the union executive. At present, there are no strike or lock-out announcements given out by any of the parties, and both are eager to reach a new arrangement swiftly.
The conditional contract that was offered to associates had been permitted by the union executive, short of constraint, on December 14, and appeared to realize the chief benefits talked over with the flight attendants’ union, signified by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE).
Julie Lamontagne, the Chief People, Sustainability and Communications Officer at Transat stated that they had reached a conditional agreement discussed honestly, which realized the welfares of both parties. She said that they are dissatisfied by this consequence; since they were assured that the conditional agreement would be recognized by the bulk of their flight assistants. Lamontagne said that they are going back to the negotiating board, and their aim remains to locate common ground at the earliest.
At the moment, all Air Transat flights are preserved, and the normal terms and conditions are applicable.
