AirlinePros International proudly announces its appointment as the General Sales Agent for Norse Atlantic Airways in South Africa. This partnership is set to elevate Norse Atlantic Airways’ presence in Africa’s fast-growing aviation market, enhancing sales, marketing, and customer service throughout South Africa.

Ranked among Northern Europe’s top airlines, Norse Atlantic Airways is recognized for its innovative, low-cost long-haul flights connecting major cities across Europe and the United States with modern, eco-friendly aircraft. This alliance offers South African travelers affordable, comfortable international travel, boosting connectivity and tourism opportunities between South Africa and Norse Atlantic’s extensive network of destinations.

Shreyas Nanavati, CEO of AirlinePros International, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “We’re honored to collaborate with Norse Atlantic Airways and are committed to leveraging our local expertise to strengthen their presence in the South African market. We look forward to a successful journey together.”

For Norse Atlantic Airways, Cape Town is its first destination in Africa and flying into Cape Town from London-Gatwick makes it the airline’s longest non-stop route. Commenting on the launch of the new service, Philip Allport, Senior Vice-President at Norse Atlantic Airways, said “It opens up a lot of possibilities for us and for consumers, having an airline like Norse now operating on those routes. It’s not a flash decision; it’s something we’ve been working on for a long time at Norse, and it’s been very high up on the list of routes that we’ve wanted to operate. So, as soon as the necessary regulatory permissions came through, we put flights on sale.”

Karin Matodes, Commercial Director of AirlinePros South Africa, remarked on the potential of this new role, saying “This appointment is a significant milestone in our efforts to connect South Africa with top international destinations affordably. Norse Atlantic’s pioneering approach to travel aligns with the evolving needs of the modern traveler, and we are eager to bring this unique travel experience closer to home.”

Flights between Cape Town and London-Gatwick began on October 28, utilizing a Boeing 787 Dreamliner and offering fares at 20% less than those of Virgin Atlantic and British Airways, the other carriers on this route.

This partnership aims to leverage the rising demand for affordable travel options, catering to a diverse range of travelers, from adventure enthusiasts to business professionals. Last year, South African travelers took an estimated 4.78 million outbound trips, with Cape Town International Airport recording 2.75 million international passenger movements during the 2023-24 period.
