In its third year, the International Tourism Fair in Pristina has become an eagerly anticipated event in Kosovo’s capital, highlighting the tourism potential of the region. Albania, a country known for its picturesque Mediterranean landscapes, took this opportunity to display its unique tourist attractions, featuring both breathtaking coastlines and impressive mountain ranges, distinguishing itself in the Balkans.
Albania’s presence at the fair was marked by contributions from the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, the National Tourism Agency, and various stakeholders from the coastal areas and the tourism sector. Notable attendees included Albania’s Deputy Minister of Tourism Vilma Bello, Pristina’s Mayor Përparim Rama, and key figures from the Kosovo Tourism Union.
The National Tourism Agency showcased Albania as a desirable destination throughout the year, inviting guests from Kosovo and other regions to visit its Adriatic and Ionian shores, UNESCO heritage sites, and charming rural villages. A highlight was the introduction of the “Albania All Senses” exhibit, featuring innovations from the TEA Application, designed to improve tourist experiences and direct visitors to Albania’s prime sites. The app, well-received by the attendees, also offers access to the Digital National Calendar for upcoming events.
Discussions about enhancing tourism ties were held at the fair, involving Deputy Minister Vilma Bello and Zana Çela, the General Director of the National Tourism Agency, along with Albania’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Petrit Malaj. The aim is to promote a unified travel experience between Albania and Kosovo.
The fair drew over 300 exhibitors, including tourism boards, hotels, eateries, vineyards, traditional Albanian guesthouses, agrotourism ventures, wellness tourism enterprises, and local craftsmen from 15 European nations and beyond, underlining its international appeal.
