This winter, Japanese airline ANA is set to significantly expand its European network by introducing three new routes to Europe. This expansion marks a strategic move to strengthen the airline’s presence in Europe, offering more travel options to passengers. The new routes reflect ANA’s commitment to enhancing connectivity between Japan and major European cities, catering to the growing demand for international travel.
ANA’s expansion will kick off with a new service from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to Milan, which is scheduled to commence on 3 December. Milan, a major business and cultural hub in Italy, is expected to attract both business and leisure travelers. Following this, the airline will introduce a new route from Haneda to Stockholm on 31 January 2025, further broadening its reach into Scandinavia.
The third and final new route in this expansion will connect Haneda with Istanbul, starting on 12 February. Istanbul’s unique position as a bridge between Europe and Asia makes it a key addition to ANA’s network. Each of these three new routes will operate three times per week in both directions, offering convenient travel schedules for passengers.

In addition to launching these new routes, ANA’s expanded schedule will result in a significant increase in its capacity to Europe, with a 144 percent boost compared to the previous year. This winter, ANA will serve eight European countries and nine cities, including well-established routes to destinations such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, and Brussels.
Beyond its European expansion, ANA is also making strategic adjustments to its other international routes. The airline will resume its Narita to Perth service in Western Australia on 14 October, offering three flights per week. This move highlights ANA’s intention to strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region as well.
Furthermore, ANA will increase frequencies on its Haneda-Bangkok and Narita-Hong Kong routes this winter, responding to rising passenger demand in these key markets. These enhancements are part of ANA’s broader strategy to optimize its network and provide more options for international travelers.
