Belgrade Airport hands over ground handling services to Menzies Aviation

Belgrade Airport, operated by VINCI Airports, has revealed that Menzies Aviation, a prominent service provider for airports and airlines worldwide, has commenced delivering comprehensive ground handling services at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. Effective March 5th, 2024, Menzies Aviation will oversee ramp handling, baggage services, de-icing operations, passenger services, PRM services, and air cargo handling.

Under the agreement, Belgrade Airport will transition all ground handling service contracts to Menzies Aviation, pending approval from partner airlines.All former employees involved in ground handling duties at Belgrade Airport have signed employment agreements with Menzies Aviation, marking their transition to the new employer.

In 2023, Menzies Aviation announced a significant agreement with Air Serbia for passenger and ramp services, starting in February 2024. This landmark deal, Menzies’ largest in Eastern Europe to date, entails local teams managing over 22,000 turns in the first year at Serbia’s largest and busiest airport.

Belgrade Airport and Menzies Aviation reaffirm their commitment to close collaboration with Air Serbia and other airlines to ensure the seamless provision of top-tier ground handling and passenger services to travelers.
