Set to debut in late fall 2025, The Compton will redefine independent lifestyle hospitality in the heart of Bentonville. This 142-room hotel is inspired by the legacy of Dr. Neil Compton, a visionary conservationist instrumental in securing the Buffalo River’s status as the first National River. Spearheaded by Blue Crane, a local developer focused on fostering vibrant and community-driven projects in Northwest Arkansas, The Compton will seamlessly blend history, nature, and modern hospitality.

Strategically positioned on Bentonville’s historic square, the hotel will be a dynamic retreat for outdoor lovers, cultural explorers, and corporate travelers alike. Adjacent to Dave Peel Park, it will feature a lively pedestrian promenade adorned with garden alcoves, open-air café seating, play zones, and a rotating selection of food trucks. This walkway will also provide a direct link to the acclaimed Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art—one of the premier art institutions in the U.S. Bentonville itself is an ever-growing hub for arts, outdoor recreation, and business, boasting world-renowned museums, an extensive public trail network, and a thriving economy supported by three Fortune 500 companies. Interior design by the globally recognized Créme Design will showcase elements that reflect the area’s natural beauty, encouraging curiosity and inspiration. The hotel’s spacious skylit lobby, complete with towering ceilings and inviting seating, will dissolve the boundaries between indoor and outdoor environments. Guests will also find two thoughtfully curated retail spaces that enhance the overall stay experience. Recognizing Bentonville’s reputation as the Mountain Biking Capital of the World™, The Compton will cater to adventure enthusiasts with amenities such as a bike valet, wash station, and secure storage.
