A groundbreaking festival has been announced for Coventry and Warwickshire, poised to provide residents with unparalleled access to a myriad of local attractions, eateries, and more, in alignment with English Tourism Week. Set to take place from March 15 to March 17, the Coventry and Warwickshire Residents’ Festival aims to bolster local tourism by offering exclusive discounts at some of the area’s premier sites.

Organised by Visit Coventry, this initiative marks the commencement of English Tourism Week 2024, which spans from March 15 to March 24. The festival is designed to motivate Coventry and Warwickshire residents to explore and appreciate the wealth of attractions within their vicinity. Special offers will be available to individuals possessing a CV postcode, spanning across a wide array of venues including restaurants, bars, hotels, museums, and even a rugby club, among others.

In total, over 20 exclusive promotions are slated to be accessible throughout Coventry and Warwickshire as part of this festive occasion. Among the highlights is a complimentary Coventry walking tour, curated by Ventures with Verity, which will navigate the Cathedral Quarter, enabling locals to delve deeper into the history and charm of their city.

Moreover, attendees can anticipate reduced admission prices to key cultural sites such as the Coventry Music Museum and the tower at Coventry Cathedral, alongside discounted tickets for theatrical performances at the Belgrade Theatre. The festival also extends to evening entertainment options, with Coventry’s Boom Battle Bar slashing prices on activities like crazy golf and axe throwing.

Dining and drinking establishments are not left out, with significant discounts on meals and beverages at selected venues, including the Sky Blue Tavern and the Hatton Arms, alongside special deals on gin school and distillery tours at Shakespeare Distillery.

The festival represents a unique opportunity for residents to engage with and support the local tourism sector, according to Claire England, Senior Destination Manager at Destination Coventry. She highlights that while the region attracts thousands of visitors annually, locals often overlook the rich experiences right on their doorstep. This event aims to change that narrative, encouraging community members to explore and enjoy the distinctive attractions and activities available in Coventry and Warwickshire.
