Uganda Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer Juliana Kagwa described hosting FHS Africa as an important step in positioning Uganda among Africa’s leading tourism and investment destinations.
She emphasized that the country’s tourism sector continues to expand through strategic government planning, infrastructure improvements, and increasing international interest. Kagwa noted that Uganda requires more accommodation capacity, new tourism products, and innovative visitor experiences to meet future demand.
The objective, she explained, is to ensure that by the time delegates arrive in February 2027, investment discussions will have evolved into signed hospitality agreements.
FHS Africa Founder Matt Weihs highlighted Uganda’s growing appeal among international hospitality investors, describing it as a dynamic market with significant long-term potential.
Business Development Director Roy Bannister added that Uganda’s improving international reputation has placed it firmly on the investment radar. He believes the summit will highlight opportunities ranging from city hotels and business accommodation to luxury safari developments and eco-tourism projects.
The organizers expect the event to create meaningful partnerships between investors, hotel brands, developers, tourism authorities, and local stakeholders while accelerating hospitality investment throughout Uganda.
Hosting Future Hospitality Summit Africa is expected to strengthen Uganda’s profile within Africa’s hospitality investment landscape while supporting broader economic development objectives.
