Since its inception in 1963 with the opening of The Sebel Townhouse in Sydney’s Elizabeth Bay, the brand has consistently upheld a commitment to exceptional service, stylish and comfortable accommodation, and unforgettable guest experiences.

The Sebel Townhouse quickly gained renown as a hotspot frequented by iconic figures such as Elton John, Zsa Zsa Gabor, and Bette Davis. Despite its closure in 2000, The Sebel’s legacy of exceptional taste and service endures, now spanning 34 properties across Australia and New Zealand.

In January 2024, The Sebel is set to unveil its latest jewel in Sydney’s CBD, The Sebel Sydney Martin Place, undergoing a multi-million dollar refurbishment to bring a new level of style and sophistication to the city.
