Four Seasons Hotel George V.Paris

Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, has been awarded the highest rating in its category, receiving 3 Michelin Keys from the Michelin Guide. This prestigious accolade is reserved for hotels that offer an exceptional stay, becoming a destination in themselves. Only 9 establishments in Paris (24 in France) have received this prestigious recognition.

Jean-Claude Wietzel, Regional Vice President, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, comments: “After obtaining our 6 Michelin stars a few weeks ago – a record for the hotel, and a record in Europe and the Middle East region where never before has one hotel been awarded with so many coveted stars – this new distinction confirms our position as one of the foremost hospitality destinations in the world. This achievement is the result of our talented teams’ daily work and their commitment to providing authentic, sincere, and generous service to each of our guests. This is thanks to their unique expertise, their unparalleled craftsmanship, and their behind-the-scenes efforts, that our guests elicit the most beautiful emotions and enjoy memorable stays that exceed their expectations.”

The Michelin Keys, created by the renowned red guide, highlight establishments in the guide’s hotel selection that offer exceptional stays. When choosing hotels, the selection team considers five universal criteria: excellence in architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, overall personality and character, value for the price, and a meaningful impact on the local community or environment.

In its text, the Michelin guide highlights: “As it enters its second century in business Four Seasons Hotel George V remains central to the world of Parisian palace hotels, a genre, in fact, that it played some role in establishing. The location, on the border of the 8th’s ultra-luxe Golden Triangle, can quite rightly be called iconic, surrounded as it is by the biggest names in fashion. And the visual experience is quintessentially Parisian twice over – the architecture and interiors are a harmonious marriage of the hotel’s original Art Deco style and a thorough Louis XV restoration.

Proper luxury hotel service is a particular point of pride here, as it should be from one of the hotels that arguably defined the form. And in a city not known for large hotel rooms the George V delivers ample spaces – the smallest of them span nearly 40 square metres (430 square feet), while the suites expand to residential proportions. Meanwhile the 11 Signature Suites add unique extravagances to their palatial dimensions; the Penthouse opens onto a terrace with a remarkable view of the Eiffel Tower.

Nor are the George V’s public spaces any less memorable. The spa, a 21st-century addition, is among the most lavish in town, and the hotel’s wine cave is a local legend, stocked with some 50,000 uncommon vintages. High tea in La Galerie is a must, as is a drink in Le Bar’s classically elegant atmosphere. And no less highly regarded are the George V’s restaurants, from the flagship Le Cinq to Le George and L’Orangerie.”
