During a prestigious event graced by nearly two hundred esteemed Michelin-starred chefs and notable figures, L’Orangerie clinched its second Michelin star in the 2024 Michelin Guide France. Additionally, the acclaimed Le Cinq, boasting three Michelin stars, and Le George, a Michelin-starred establishment, also retained their esteemed distinctions this year, with Le George earning a coveted Green Star. This brings the total number of Michelin stars held by the Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris to six, along with one Green star—a milestone not only for the hotel but also for the entire Europe and Middle East region. Never before has a single hotel garnered such a remarkable constellation of coveted stars.

“We are delighted by these esteemed distinctions, which position our Hotel among the shining stars of world gastronomy. A true Paris icon within the luxury hotel sector, renowned for its outstanding service, the George V is also a world leader in culinary excellence, led by Chefs Christian Le Squer, Alan Taudon, Simone Zanoni, pastry chef Michael Bartocetti and their teams. These recognitions are testament to the chefs’ consistency in innovation, their relentless pursuit of perfection, and their unwavering commitment to offering guests a one-of-a-kind experience that marries creativity, authenticity and indulgence,” comments Jean-Claude Wietzel, Regional Vice-President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris.

L’Orangerie Achieves Second Michelin Star

Alan Taudon’s culinary prowess at L’Orangerie has garnered the restaurant a second Michelin star in the esteemed 2024 Michelin Guide. Situated with all-glass windows offering views of the Marble Courtyard, L’Orangerie boasts a serene and intimate atmosphere, providing a stark contrast to the lively energy of the hotel.

Chef Taudon’s cuisine is both daring and inventive, rooted in sustainable practices and highlighting vegetable-centric, dairy, and seafood dishes while consciously avoiding meat. His innovative cooking techniques pay tribute to the purity of flavors, striking a delicate balance between lightness and robust aromas in every dish.

Renowned for his mastery of sauces, Chef Alan deftly reimagines classical French gastronomy with contemporary flair, making sauces the focal point of his menu. Each sauce, remarkably delicate yet intricately layered, enhances his culinary creations, resulting in a gastronomic journey that tantalizes the senses.

Complementing Taudon’s savory delights are the meticulously crafted sweet creations by Pastry Chef Michael Bartocetti, further enriching the dining experience at L’Orangerie.

“I am thrilled to have received this recognition from the Michelin Guide. It is the result of the relentless hard work of my entire kitchen and dining room teams, who work day in, day out with passion, determination and dedication to offer guests a unique culinary experience. This second star both honours and motivates me equally. Enamoured with the essence of French culinary heritage, deeply rooted in our terroir, and proud of my Limousin roots, it fuels my determination to innovate, take risks, and craft culinary experiences that evoke deep emotions,” comments Chef Alan Taudon of two-Michelin-starred restaurant L’Orangerie.

Le Cinq, under the guidance of Chef Christian Le Squer, maintains its prestigious three-star rating this year, solidifying its position among the elite few in the global culinary scene. With fewer than a hundred three-Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide, Le Cinq stands as an epitome of gastronomic excellence.

Furthermore, at Le George, renowned for its one-Michelin-star status, Chef Simone Zanoni and his dedicated teams in the kitchen and dining room continue to garner praise for their environmentally conscious practices. Their commendable efforts in sustainability and green gastronomy have earned them not only a Michelin star but also the coveted Green star, a distinction awarded to only a select few establishments in France and beyond.
