This initiative has led to the successful creation of “Uncharted Territories,” a groundbreaking Documentary Series focused on the adventurous blend of Rum and Travel. The premiere episode, “Uncharted Territories: Cambodia, Kingdom of Wonder,” debuted on April 13th, 2024. In this inaugural episode, eight members of the Rare Spirits Society embarked on a journey to Cambodia, exploring the convergence of Exploration Spirit, Rum Culture, and Community. The first episode shines a spotlight on the enchanting Samai Distillery in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, renowned as the country’s pioneering Rum distillery and home to a premium Rum brand. Here, members have the opportunity to interact with key figures such as Daniel Pacheco, the Venezuelan Co-Founder & CEO, Master Distiller Ms. Champich Moang, Production Manager Antoine Callet, and Brand Ambassador Sam Dalcourt. This immersive experience offers a deep dive into the intricate artistry of Rum production.

They marvel at the grandeur of Angkor Wat, delve into the enchanting Kulen Elephant Forest in Siem Reap, and venture on a guided trek to a secluded waterfall on Koh Rong island led by Jean-Benoit from C4 Adventures. Their experiences also include a visit to La Plantation Kampot Pepper Farm, where Guy and Nathalie, the owners, enlighten them about the finest pepper and Khmer culinary traditions. Additionally, they immerse themselves in the artistry of Diego Wilkins at D. Wilkins Leather Workshop.
Looking ahead, the upcoming episode of “Uncharted Territories” by Rare Spirits Society will showcase Venezuela, with future episodes planned for Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Mexico, El Salvador, Brazil, Barbados, the Philippines, and numerous other rum-producing nations across the globe.
