As part of Finland, the world’s happiest nation, the city has set the benchmark for eco-friendly urban development. Its tourism and hospitality industries play a crucial role in this achievement, with the majority of hotels and attractions adhering to rigorous environmental standards and actively embracing sustainable initiatives.

Helsinki has secured the prestigious Green Destinations GSTC certification, reinforcing its position as a pioneer in sustainable tourism.
