Goa Tourism is set to make a significant impact at SATTE 2024, taking center stage with its innovative Regenerative Tourism initiatives. Leading the charge as the first Indian state to adopt this forward-thinking approach, Goa aims to redefine sustainable and responsible travel.
Spearheaded by key figures such as Mr. Rajesh Kale, Deputy Director, Department of Tourism, alongside Mr. Laxmikant Vaigankar and Mr. Deepak Narvekar from GTDC, the Goa pavilion is poised to showcase the state’s commitment to environmental stewardship and cultural preservation.
Showcasing Sustainable Initiatives
At the heart of Goa’s presentation are diverse programs designed to promote responsible tourism practices. The pavilion will highlight Goa’s dedication to sustainable development, underpinned by the principles of Regenerative Tourism. Officials from Goa Tourism are set to engage with hosted buyers, aiming to establish meaningful connections and explore potential collaborations. The pavilion will also feature over 50 esteemed hoteliers and tour operators from Goa, working in unison with the Department of Tourism to present a wide array of products and services. This collective effort is designed to offer a comprehensive view of Goa’s vibrant tourism landscape.

Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director of the Department of Tourism, expressed enthusiasm about showcasing Goa’s Regenerative Tourism initiatives. “Goa is not just setting a new standard for sustainability; we are inviting the world to join us in our journey towards a more resilient and equitable tourism industry,” he stated. Goa’s participation in SATTE 2024 underscores its dedication to driving positive change and encouraging the adoption of Regenerative Tourism principles across the globe.
