Grand Hyatt Set To Redefine Luxury In Dhaka With Meghna Group Of Industries Tower Project

The construction of the tower is being executed by China State Construction Engineering Corporation 7th Bureau (CSCEC7B), a division renowned for its expertise in managing prestigious projects both in China and across the globe.
Set to become a defining feature of Dhaka’s skyline, MGI Tower is being designed by the acclaimed Chicago-based firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). This architectural and engineering powerhouse is known for creating iconic structures, including the Burj Khalifa and other globally recognized landmarks.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including MGI Chairman and Managing Director Mostafa Kamal, Vice Chairman Beauty Akter, Group Directors Tanveer Mostafa, Tahmina Mostafa, Tanjima Mostafa, and Tasnim Mostafa, Senior Executive Director Taif Bin Yousuf, Executive Director & Head of Export Sameera Rahman, Project Director Sanjay, as well as CSCEC7B Executive General Manager Su Yan and Project Manager Xu Jiapin.
Strategically located along the Hatirjheel waterfront, the MGI Tower will feature six underground levels and 39 floors above ground, with a total height of 152.4 meters and a floor area spanning 146,000 square meters.
The hotel will operate under the Grand Hyatt brand, a flagship offering of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Established in 1957, the U.S.-based hospitality giant currently manages 1,335 properties across 76 countries, making Grand Hyatt one of its most distinguished and sought-after brands.
