Grupo Vidanta, a leading Mexico-based resort developer, has chosen Resco’s cruisePAL Central Reservation System (CRS) to handle its growing cruise reservation needs, according to a recent announcement. The decision comes as the company prepares to expand its cruise industry operations, offering new itineraries in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean regions under its VidantaWorld brand.

According to Len Dudis, Chief Information Officer at Grupo Vidanta, the company’s partnership with Resco has been successful since 2018, and the flexibility and scalability of the cruisePAL system make it the perfect fit for their expanding cruise operations. Acting as a fully integrated platform, cruisePAL CRS will manage various aspects of the company’s cruise reservation process, from bookings and payments to sales invoices and agency reconciliation.

In addition to streamlining the reservation process, the system will also offer an API for creating both B2C and B2B portals, enabling easier management and coordination across the company’s cruise operations.

Vidanta Elegant: A New Luxury Cruise Experience

As part of its cruise industry expansion, Grupo Vidanta is preparing to launch the Vidanta Elegant, a 298-guest mega-yacht, in February 2025. The vessel, which underwent a significant refurbishment, will offer adults-only cruises in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Featuring redesigned staterooms and public areas, the Vidanta Elegant offers a luxury experience with twice as much space per guest as other ships in its class.

Other onboard features include 13 bars and restaurants, a nearly one-to-one crew-to-guest ratio, and exclusive access to a VIP Lounge for suite-level guests. This private area offers complimentary snacks and beverages, enhancing the onboard experience for premium passengers.

Grupo Vidanta’s Growing Presence in the Cruise Industry

Since acquiring its first cruise ship in 2017, Grupo Vidanta has steadily grown its presence in the cruise industry. The introduction of the cruisePAL CRS will further streamline its operations, centralizing management and enhancing the guest experience through efficient, remote-access reservation handling.

The upcoming launch of Vidanta Elegant marks a new chapter in the company’s cruise industry journey, as it continues to explore luxury cruise offerings that cater to discerning travelers looking for exclusive, intimate sailing experiences.
