Tokyo, Hong Kong and more Asian countries strengthen US connectivity as Delta Airlines expands routes across its Asia-Pacific network. The airline is adding new links and special services that connect major Asian cities with US destinations. Tokyo gains a new Seattle connection, while Hong Kong has a new Los Angeles service. Manila will also gain a new nonstop link with Los Angeles in 2027. In addition, Delta is adding special flights from Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul and Shanghai to Las Vegas for CES 2027. Delta Airlines Strengthens Asia to US Travel Network

Delta Airlines is expanding its Asia–US network with new nonstop routes, additional frequencies and special services for major international events. The changes connect important Asian markets with major US gateways and create more travel options for leisure, business and tourism passengers.

The expansion includes new services between Manila and Los Angeles, Tokyo Narita and Seattle, and Hong Kong and Los Angeles. Delta is also increasing Shanghai–Los Angeles services and adding special Asia–Las Vegas flights for CES 2027.

New Los Angeles–Manila Route Opens a Direct Philippines–US Link

Delta will launch its first-ever nonstop Los Angeles–Manila service on 28 March 2027. The route will initially operate three times a week before increasing to daily flights from 7 June 2027.

The service will use an Airbus A350-900. Delta says the route will make it the only US carrier offering nonstop service between Los Angeles and Manila.

The new connection gives Southern California travellers direct access to the Philippines. It also strengthens Delta’s partnership with Korean Air, which already operates multiple daily Seoul–Manila flights.

New Seattle–Tokyo Narita Route Expands Japan Travel Options

Delta will introduce daily Seattle–Tokyo Narita service from 27 March 2027. The Narita–Seattle service begins on 28 March.

The route will operate with an Airbus A330-900neo. Delta will therefore offer Seattle travellers nonstop access to both Tokyo Narita and Tokyo Haneda.

Hong Kong–Los Angeles Adds Another Major Asia–US Connection

Delta launched daily nonstop Los Angeles–Hong Kong service on 6 June 2026. The route operates with an Airbus A350-900. Delta announced the service as part of its expansion at Los Angeles International Airport.

The route gives travellers in Southern California direct access to Hong Kong while also strengthening Delta’s wider trans-Pacific network.

Shanghai–Los Angeles Service Increases From Three to Five Weekly Flights

Delta will increase Shanghai Pudong–Los Angeles service from three to five flights per week beginning 7 October 2026.

The airline says the increase will bring its mainland China–US operation to 19 weekly nonstop flights. Daily Shanghai services to Seattle and Detroit are also part of that network. Delta operates its Shanghai–Los Angeles, Shanghai–Seattle and Shanghai–Detroit services with Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Asia–Las Vegas Special Flights Target CES 2027 Travellers

Delta is also creating special nonstop services connecting Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei and Seoul-Incheon with Las Vegas for CES 2027.

The special flights are designed around the January 2027 technology event. Delta says the additional services will connect major Asian innovation centres directly with Las Vegas during the peak CES travel period.

Delta has stated that the schedules may change and that the planned special flights are subject to government approval.
