In a bid to showcase the diverse beauty of Indonesia beyond its renowned tourist hotspot, Bali, the country has extended an enticing invitation to the members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the world at large. Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy for Marketing, emphasized that Indonesia has much more to offer than the popular destination of Bali.
Speaking at a press conference, Marthini highlighted the significance of preserving Bali’s culture, heritage, and nature. She revealed that the introduction of a $10 USD tourism taxation in Bali is not merely a financial move but a strategic measure to protect the cultural and natural treasures that make Bali the jewel of Indonesia. The taxation aims to fund conservation efforts and sustainable practices, ensuring that the influx of tourists does not compromise the unique identity and ecological balance of the island.
Marthini passionately conveyed that Indonesia is a country rich in untapped potential, with numerous islands waiting to be explored.
