JCB International Co., Ltd., the international division of JCB Co., Ltd., together with PT JCB International Indonesia, a subsidiary of JCB International Co., Ltd. (referred to collectively as “JCB”), has secured an exclusive sponsorship agreement with PT Senayan Trikarya Sempana (STS) for the launch of Yashinoki Yokocho. This Japanese-themed food court and travel information center is set to open at Plaza Senayan, a prestigious shopping destination in Indonesia.
In anticipation of its soft opening on December 20, 2024, JCB organized the Japan Event on December 6, 2024. The event featured a collaboration with Japanese restaurants slated to open at Yashinoki Yokocho, as well as local government bodies and Japanese commercial establishments aimed at attracting inbound tourists. Indonesian Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) were invited to explore and discuss the allure of Japanese culture and travel, enhancing the understanding of Yashinoki Yokocho’s role in providing a true Japanese experience while staying in Indonesia.
Yashinoki Yokocho, located within Plaza Senayan, will host 14 diverse establishments, including Japanese restaurants debuting their first outlets in Indonesia, and a dedicated JCB SUGOI JAPAN booth. This booth will serve as both an information hub for travel to Japan and a platform for visitors to apply for JCB Cards that offer travel benefits for Japan.
As the exclusive sponsor of Yashinoki Yokocho, JCB will roll out a variety of initiatives for JCB cardholders, including:

These efforts are aimed at engaging Indonesia’s growing community of Japan enthusiasts and showcasing the unique cultural appeal of Japan.
Indonesia has experienced significant economic expansion in recent years, particularly among its affluent class, many of whom hold a deep interest in Japan. In response, JCB is dedicated to offering outstanding Japanese experiences through its “SUGOI JAPAN” brand. With the expanding demand for Japanese inbound tourism, JCB has enhanced its offerings through collaborations with Japanese businesses in both Indonesia and Japan.
This sponsorship aligns with the goals of STS, which seeks to enhance the services offered at Plaza Senayan, and JCB’s mission to deliver unique value to Indonesian customers. JCB’s continued expansion of its distinct Japanese offerings is part of its broader vision to become a leading payment brand.
Under the “SUGOI JAPAN” slogan, JCB has developed a range of exclusive services, including three main categories: “VISIT JAPAN,” “JCB DAY,” and “JAPAN DINING,” all designed to enrich the experience of JCB cardholders and promote the appeal of Japan to a global audience.
