Wizz Air, celebrated as the world’s most environmentally sustainable airline, is kicking off the Winter 2024-2025 season with an ambitious and expanded flight schedule. This winter, travelers can look forward to over 40 new and returning routes, bringing Wizz Air’s extensive network to vibrant destinations. Key additions include flights to Salerno’s new airport in Italy, a reestablished base in Chisinau, Moldova, and exciting links to iconic cities like Cairo (Sphinx) and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, Marrakesh in Morocco, and Stuttgart in Germany, all from a wider range of departure points. This winter, Wizz Air will operate more than 600 routes, setting a new benchmark for the airline’s largest-ever winter network.

Wizz Air’s winter schedule also offers travelers unprecedented affordability, with over 28 million seats on sale—its most extensive winter capacity yet—reaching destinations across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. This milestone follows a successful summer 2024, when nearly 40 million passengers chose Wizz Air for their journeys, with the airline operating close to 200,000 flights and achieving a remarkable completion rate of 99.3% despite industry-wide challenges.

In addition to route expansion, Wizz Air has invested in enhancing its customer experience. New membership options, including All You Can Fly, WIZZ MultiPass in expanded markets, and the Wizz Discount Club Premium, now offer greater travel flexibility and value. Payment has also been streamlined, with the introduction of Apple Pay and Google Pay on the app and Revolut card acceptance for in-flight purchases, simplifying travel for passengers.

Maintaining its industry-leading environmental commitment, Wizz Air recorded an impressive carbon emissions intensity of just 52.6 grams of CO2 per passenger/kilometer over the past year. The airline is also partnering with Airbus to test sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), preparing for the upcoming RefuelEU regulation, which aims to drive sustainable practices across European aviation from January 2025. With its expanded network, enhanced customer offerings, and ongoing sustainability efforts, Wizz Air is set to make the Winter 2024-2025 season its most dynamic and eco-friendly yet.
