Jet2 Crew spreads holiday cheer to Newcastle child social care

The Jet2.com and Jet2holidays team based at Newcastle International Airport have made a significant contribution to spreading the festive cheer this holiday season. Their generous gesture involved the purchase and donation of a wide array of gifts and toys to benefit the Children Social Care Department of Newcastle City Council.

In a heartwarming display of unity and compassion, the team collaborated to provide over 60 gift bags to the department, accompanied by a comprehensive assortment of essential items, including food, toiletries, food vouchers, and baby necessities.

The employees from Jet2’s Newcastle International Airport division made a collective decision to lend their support to the Children Social Care department during this Christmas season. Taking personal responsibility for procuring a variety of presents, they selected items such as toys, games, confections, books, cosmetics, clothing, and craft sets to include in the gift bags.

Their heartfelt efforts culminated in a visit to the Department’s offices in Byker, where they delivered the gifts. These gifts will be thoughtfully distributed to children between the ages of one and sixteen across the region.

Leading the charge were Claire Jolly and Lisa Horrocks, both serving as Customer Helper Supervisors for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays at Newcastle International Airport. Approximately 80 colleagues from Jet2 joined hands to make this benevolent donation possible.
