Emirates is planning to add its next-generation Airbus A350 aircraft to the Dubai-Mauritius route from 1st November 2026, which will be another milestone in the airline’s operations to the highly popular holiday destination in the Indian Ocean. The Airbus A350 aircraft will replace the current Boeing 777 used in daily EK709 and EK710 flights to offer passengers a new experience and upgraded entertainment system with three cabin classes.

The addition of the Airbus A350 aircraft will further enhance Emirates’ premium service offering on the Dubai-Mauritius route as well as offering extra comfort to the travelers. With modern interiors, fully flat seats in the Business Class and a separate Premium Economy cabin, the Airbus A350 will offer a new experience to the travelers flying between the two countries.

The development also reflects the airline’s continued investment in its Mauritius operations, where it already operates two additional daily services using its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft. Together, these services provide travellers with a choice of departure times and cabin experiences while supporting international connections through Dubai.

The planned timetable will allow passengers to travel between the two destinations while accessing onward connections through Emirates’ Dubai hub. All published departure and arrival times are local.

New Airbus A350 Will Offer 298 Seats Across Three Cabin Classes

The Airbus A350 assigned to the Mauritius route will feature 298 passenger seats distributed across Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

The three-class layout will include 32 Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats and 238 Economy Class seats. This configuration is designed to accommodate travellers with different budgets and comfort preferences.

The introduction of Premium Economy will be particularly relevant for passengers seeking additional personal space and upgraded services without booking Business Class. Meanwhile, the aircraft’s modern interiors and upgraded entertainment technology will enhance the journey for passengers across all three cabins.

Mauritius Gains More Premium Travel Options Through Emirates’ Expanding Services

The Airbus A350 will complement Emirates’ existing operations to Mauritius, which include two additional daily flights operated by the Airbus A380.

Both A380 services are equipped with the airline’s Premium Economy cabins, giving travellers further opportunities to experience upgraded seating and onboard amenities.

With three daily services planned between Dubai and Mauritius, Emirates will continue to offer substantial travel connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and the island.

Passengers travelling from Mauritius will also be able to connect through Dubai to more than 70 destinations across Europe, Asia and the Americas, expanding their options for international journeys.

This connectivity is especially important for Mauritius, which attracts visitors from multiple long-haul markets and depends heavily on international air transport to support its tourism industry.

Premium Economy Brings Greater Comfort and Refined Cabin Interiors

One of the major highlights of the Airbus A350 deployment is the availability of Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin, which combines additional comfort with a more refined onboard atmosphere.

The cabin features a 2-3-2 seating arrangement, with soft cream leather upholstery and woodgrain finishes that create a welcoming environment.

Each seat measures 19.5 inches wide and offers additional legroom, generous recline and a six-way adjustable headrest. A footrest further enhances comfort, particularly during longer journeys.

Passengers will also have access to individual charging points, a wood-finished side table and a 13.3-inch personal entertainment screen.

The entertainment system offers more than 6,500 channels of films, television programmes, music and other content in multiple languages, providing travellers with extensive options throughout their flight.

Upgraded Dining and Personal Amenities Enhance Premium Economy Travel

The Premium Economy experience extends beyond seating, with Emirates offering a selection of dining services and personal amenities designed to make the journey more comfortable.

Passengers can expect a welcome drink, seasonal meals presented on Royal Doulton china and a carefully selected range of beverages.

The cabin also includes an exclusive amenity kit, a comfortable blanket and a generously sized pillow made using sustainable materials.

Additional ground services are intended to simplify the travel experience. These include priority boarding, a dedicated Premium Economy check-in area at Dubai International Airport and a baggage allowance of up to 35 kilograms.

Together, these features provide an upgraded experience for travellers seeking greater comfort throughout their journey.

Business Class Introduces Fully Flat Seats and Direct Aisle Access

Passengers choosing Business Class on the Emirates Airbus A350 will experience a cabin designed around privacy, relaxation and convenience.

The aircraft features 32 Business Class seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, ensuring that every passenger has direct aisle access.

Each cream leather seat converts into a fully flat bed, allowing travellers to rest comfortably during the journey between Dubai and Mauritius.

The cabin also includes a 20-inch 4K Ultra HD entertainment screen, wireless charging facilities and a personal mini-bar.

Business Class passengers can enjoy multi-course dining accompanied by a curated beverage selection. Complimentary Bulgari amenity kits and additional comfort essentials further enhance the premium experience.

A dedicated snack display at the rear of the cabin allows passengers to access refreshments during the flight.

Emirates’ Airbus A350 Economy Class will accommodate 238 passengers in a cabin designed to provide a comfortable and enjoyable journey.

The seating features adjustable leather headrests and generous legroom, supporting passenger comfort during the flight.

Each seat will include a 13.3-inch 4K HD touchscreen connected to the airline’s upgraded ice entertainment system.

Passengers will be able to explore a wide selection of films, television programmes, music and other entertainment options throughout their journey.

Bluetooth connectivity will allow travellers to use compatible personal audio devices, while charging points will help keep phones, tablets and other electronic equipment powered during the flight.

These facilities will bring upgraded technology and convenience to Economy Class passengers travelling between Dubai and Mauritius.

Dubai Connections Open International Travel Opportunities for Mauritius

Beyond the direct Dubai–Mauritius route, Emirates’ extensive international network remains an important part of its offering to passengers departing from the island.

Travellers can connect through Dubai to more than 70 destinations across Europe, Asia and the Americas, making the airline an option for both leisure and business journeys.

Dubai International Airport serves as a major connecting hub, enabling passengers from Mauritius to access destinations across different regions through the Emirates network.

For international visitors, these connections also provide additional opportunities to reach Mauritius through Dubai.

The combination of the Airbus A350 and the airline’s existing A380 services will give passengers a wider choice of onboard experiences when planning journeys to and from the island.

Airbus A350 Deployment Strengthens Mauritius’ International Tourism Connectivity

Mauritius is widely recognised for its beaches, tropical scenery, luxury resorts and diverse tourism experiences. International air connectivity plays a central role in bringing visitors to the destination and supporting its hospitality sector.

The introduction of the Airbus A350 represents a further improvement in the passenger experience available on one of Emirates’ established routes to the Indian Ocean.

The aircraft’s Premium Economy cabin may be particularly attractive to holidaymakers seeking a more comfortable journey, while Business Class provides additional privacy and fully flat seating for premium travellers.

For the wider tourism industry, the deployment adds another modern aircraft option to the destination’s international air services. It does not, however, represent a new Emirates route or an additional daily flight, as the A350 will replace the Boeing 777 already operating EK709 and EK710.

Emirates Offers Multiple Booking Options for Mauritius Flights

Passengers planning to travel between Dubai and Mauritius can arrange their journeys through Emirates’ official website, its travel store at Docks 2 in Caudan, Mauritius, or authorised travel agents.

The airline’s booking channels allow travellers to review available flights, compare cabin options and select services according to their preferences.

With the Airbus A350 scheduled to enter service on 1 November 2026, passengers will gain access to a refreshed three-class experience alongside the airline’s established A380 operations.

The aircraft change reinforces Emirates’ focus on modernising its passenger offering while maintaining strong links between Dubai and Mauritius. For travellers heading to the Indian Ocean island or connecting onwards to international destinations, the new service promises greater cabin choice, upgraded entertainment and a more refined journey.
