Korean Air is set to introduce a new route between Seoul Incheon and Fuzhou, China, starting on December 28, 2024. This service will operate three times a week, specifically on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, offering travelers more convenience and access to this vibrant destination.

The outbound flight from Seoul Incheon will take off at 8:40 a.m., arriving at Fuzhou Changle International Airport at 10:30 a.m. The return flight will depart from Fuzhou at 11:40 a.m. and land back at Seoul Incheon by 3:35 p.m. The total flight duration is approximately two hours and 50 minutes.

Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province, is often referred to as the “City of Blessings,” a reflection of its name’s meaning. With 58% of its land covered in forests, the city enjoys fresh air and a mild climate, making it an attractive destination for travelers. Even during winter, temperatures remain pleasant, ranging from 10 to 15°C, making Fuzhou a rising hotspot for winter golf tourism.

Boasting over 2,200 years of history, Fuzhou has earned the title of a “National Famous Historical and Cultural City” by the Chinese government. Visitors can admire its well-preserved ancient architecture and cultural landmarks. At the city’s core is the Sanfang Qixiang district (Three Lanes and Seven Alleys), which showcases the essence of traditional Chinese urban design. Additionally, nearby attractions such as Mount Wuyi, one of China’s top ten mountains, and the renowned Qingyun Mountain Hot Springs, famed for their therapeutic properties and stunning scenery, make Fuzhou a must-visit.

This new service to Fuzhou is part of Korean Air’s strategic expansion in China, responding to increasing travel demand. The airline has recently boosted its presence in the region, adding daily flights on the Incheon-Xiamen route as of October 1, and resuming four weekly flights to Kunming on October 14.
