The Macao Government Tourism Office has issued an alert through text messages to both Macao locals abroad and tourists within Macao regarding the activation of typhoon signal number 8. They are advised to stay vigilant and make necessary travel and safety arrangements. Updates on the weather and additional relevant details are continually shared on MGTO’s official website and its social media channels.

During the period when Typhoon Signal No. 8 or higher is raised, MGTO continues to provide 24-hour operator support via the Tourism Hotline (2833 3000). Tourist Information counters managed by the office temporarily cease operations, and both the Macao Grand Prix Museum and Ritz Building close until further notice.

Due to the typhoon, the outdoor installation for the “Stay Chill, Play Cool – Macao!” project is temporarily taken down, and the Stay Chill Macao Market event is cancelled.

Additionally, the first two fireworks shows, originally set to kick off the 32nd Macau International Fireworks Display Contest on 7 September, are postponed, including the Fireworks Carnival.
