The event brought together members of NIMA along with key industry stakeholders, including national tourism organizations (NTOs), destination marketing companies, Meeting Industry operators, destination management companies (DMCs), airlines, and members of the media.

A highlight of the event was the introduction of a newly formed 13-member Managing Committee and a four-member Advisory Council. Dr. Nitin Mittal, representing Bengaluru-based Hotel & Apartment Group, was appointed as the National Coordinator for the 2025–26 term. Supporting him will be long-standing NIMA members such as Kapil Arora, Rakesh Arora, and Gurmeet Singh Chhatwal, among others.

The Advisory Council includes industry leaders like Dr. Subhash Goyal, Chairman of STIC Travel Group; SanJeet of Buzz Travel Marketing; Vikas Khanduri of Holiday Merchants; and Gajesh Girdhar, who serves as the Chairman of the Governing Council and is one of the founding members. Girdhar, who originally conceptualized NIMA, was also its inaugural National Coordinator when the organization was established.

During the event, Vikas Khanduri emphasized that NIMA has evolved into a well-connected membership organization, generating significant business leads and transactions within its national network. He further noted that NIMA’s members are carefully vetted, ensuring a benchmark for service quality and competitiveness.

Over the years, NIMA has collaborated with various NTOs and international stakeholders, such as Cyprus Tourism, Catalonia Tourism (Spain), Florida Tourism (USA), Taiwan Tourism Administration, Malaysia Tourism, Singapore Tourism Board, Jordan Tourism, Moscow Tourism, St. Petersburg Tourism, Abu Dhabi Tourism, Nepal Tourism, and the Penang Convention and Exhibition Bureau. It has also partnered with global brands like Resorts World Cruises, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Singapore Airlines to build strong international Meeting Industry relationships.
