For Oman Air, the last 30 years hasn’t just been about the growth of routes and destinations, it has been about leading the industry in delivering unmatched standards of customer service. The airline has adapted with the times and continuously reinvented itself, from its services to its aircraft, in order to offer a world-class way of traveling. Courtesy of the plethora of in-flight entertainment and great service, Oman Air has quickly grown to become one of the premier carriers in the Middle East.

The airline that now sings in the sky offering value added riding experiences for its passengers also has a penchant for being green – ushering in cleaner, greener designs that go easy on the carbon footprint. It reflects Oman Air’s commitment to the environment while it continues to focus on providing guests with the highest quality of service.

Oman Air Joins Oneworld as a Member

The decision to add Oman Air to the alliance’s list of partner airlines was announced last year and the formal inclusion of the airline as Oneworld’s newest member took effect on Wednesday.

Among the most important landmarks in the airline’s development, one of the most important happened recently when Oman Air became a part of the oneworld alliance. By introducing the new non-stop flights, the airline is entering a new era of operations and substantially increasing its network around the world for its customers’ benefit. The oneworld alliance gives Oman Air guests access to more than 900 destinations in 160 countries, with 14,250 daily departures around the world, and the reciprocal frequent flyer benefits that the alliance offers will be a particular boon to Oman Air Plus members when they fly with other alliance members.

As a oneworld member, Oman Air’s customers will be able to enjoy a range of benefits, including access to a global network served at more than 1,000 destinations in some 150 countries, with 14,000 daily departures, access to unique airline and non-airline award winning owners and frequent flyer providers, and the schedule and frequencies of any of the 13 frequent flyer oneworld member airlines. The partnership gives business and leisure customers more travel options, more flexibility and more rewarding travel.

The addition to oneworld is a natural part of this journey, the airlines says. The partnership allows Oman Air to match up to other international airlines, but without deviating from its superior quality of service and passenger satisfaction.

Looking Ahead : A more Connected World

Going forward, Oman Air is still on its growth and soon it will be consolidating a very strong network across the sub-continent. The carrier plans to expand its footprint in India in the future as it looks at more frequencies and new destinations. This needs emphasis on India because there is a growing demand for air connectivity between the two countries for business, tourism and visiting families.

In addition, with its recent entry into the oneworld alliance, Oman Air has the opportunity to grow globally. This presents limitless new opportunities for Oman Air customers: not only more frequent access to more destinations worldwide, but also more choice and a wider range of airline partners, services and new destinations. The partnership also marks a key milestone of Oman Air’s ambitious fleet and network expansion initiative, first unveiled in 2014. This new partnership grants the airlines a unique advantage: a competitive strength; on a global scale.

Three decades into building the airline, PIA’s heart can be seen beating for its people, for pushing the boundaries of aviation, exceeding customer satisfaction, as well as nurturing sound international relations; these values ring true in all that they do. The airlines claimed thatbeing the flag-ship carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, they have highly ambitious and focussed plans for themselves as well as for the nation by placing Oman on the international map as a natural transit hub connecting East and West. Oman Air’s vision “To become the best” drives them competitively to be the best in the World and serve the world by opening up new destinations and pushing limits. This would enable the airlines to continue their progress to expand and modernise the existing fleet and provide the best possible flying experience for its guests.
