Paris gets Emirates’ Premium Economy as the airline expands its latest cabin across France. From October 25, 2026, a retrofitted A380 will operate daily between Dubai and Paris, adding a more comfortable option for long-haul travellers. Emirates already offers Premium Economy from Lyon and Nice, where demand has remained strong.

Now, Paris joins those gateways, giving more passengers access to the airline’s newest cabin. Importantly, the move comes as travellers increasingly seek extra space and elevated service on journeys lasting more than 10 hours. Meanwhile, the refreshed A380 introduces updated interiors across all cabins, strengthening Emirates’ premium proposition in the French market.

Emirates is expanding its Premium Economy offering in France, with Paris set to receive the airline’s retrofitted Airbus A380 from 25 October 2026.

The aircraft will operate daily on EK071 and EK072 between Dubai and Paris, introducing Emirates’ award-winning Premium Economy cabin to the French capital.

The deployment means all three French gateways served by Emirates — Paris, Lyon and Nice — will now offer the airline’s Premium Economy product.

Paris Becomes Emirates’ Latest Premium Economy Gateway

The expansion follows what Emirates describes as a strong response to Premium Economy services in Lyon and Nice.

According to the airline, the cabin has maintained a healthy seat load factor for both inbound and outbound travel. Around one in ten passengers travelling to Dubai from France has been choosing Premium Economy, indicating sustained demand for a product positioned between Economy and Business Class.

The airline’s French network also benefits from substantial long-haul traffic. Travellers arriving in France from markets including the UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, India and Thailand can face journeys exceeding 10 hours, increasing the appeal of additional space and comfort.

French travellers similarly use Emirates to reach long-haul destinations, including the Maldives and Mauritius, where Premium Economy is also available.

What Emirates Premium Economy Offers

Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin occupies the front section of the A380’s main deck. It features 56 seats in a 2-4-2 configuration, giving passengers a more spacious environment than the standard Economy cabin.

The seats use cream-coloured leather and include reclining functions, cushioned leg rests and six-way adjustable headrests.

The onboard dining experience is also designed to distinguish Premium Economy from Economy. Meals are prepared by Emirates chefs and served on Royal Doulton fine china, with linen napkins, stainless-steel Robert Welch cutlery and a woodgrain dining table integrated into the seat.

The beverage selection includes wines and Champagne-style offerings such as La Parde de Haut-Bailly 2014, Chablis Premier Cru Jean-Marc Brocard 2024 and Chandon Vintage Brut 2021.

At Paris Charles de Gaulle, Premium Economy passengers will also receive access to a dedicated check-in counter and priority boarding. The baggage allowance includes 35kg of checked baggage and 10kg of carry-on baggage.

Retrofitted A380 Brings Wider Cabin Upgrades

The Paris deployment is not limited to Premium Economy.

Emirates’ retrofitted A380 has been refreshed throughout, with updated interiors across First, Business and Economy Class. The redesigned cabin uses a cream, bronze and sky-blue colour palette, alongside lighter wood finishes.

The airline’s signature ghaf tree motif, reflecting an important cultural symbol of the UAE, is incorporated into the refreshed design.

Passengers will continue to have access to the A380’s distinctive features, including the Onboard Lounge and Shower Spa. Both have received refreshed interiors featuring polished woodgrain finishes, bronze detailing and ambient lighting.

Emirates Strengthens Its France Strategy

Cédric Renard, Emirates’ Country Manager in France, said the expansion to Paris reflects the airline’s confidence in the French market and the response to Premium Economy in Lyon and Nice.

Paris is among Emirates’ busiest gateways for both inbound and outbound travellers. Bringing the retrofitted A380 to the route therefore gives a larger customer base access to the airline’s newest cabin product.

Tickets for the new service can be booked through Emirates’ website, Emirates App, travel agents and Emirates retail locations, including the Emirates Travel Store in Paris.

The airline also continues to promote flexible booking options and comprehensive travel insurance as part of its wider travel proposition.

Premium Economy has performed strongly on Emirates’ Lyon and Nice services, with roughly one in ten passengers travelling to Dubai choosing the cabin.
