Eurowings enhances its network to serve more destinations in Germany with new departures to Baghdad and increased connections from Dubai this winter. Eurowings is expanding its winter routes from Germany with a major upgrade to its network, which will include new flights to Baghdad plus greater connectivity from Dubai and a number of other Middle Eastern destinations. The airline’s Winter 2026/2027 programme will extend services from Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg, Hanover and Stuttgart, giving passengers more choice across Europe, the Canary Islands, Egypt and key Middle Eastern markets.

The expansion signals a broader push by Eurowings to diversify its winter network while strengthening links between Central Europe and high-demand leisure and business destinations. Alongside route growth, the airline will also introduce an upgraded premium seating product on selected services.

Baghdad Joins Eurowings Winter Network

One of the biggest developments in the winter schedule is the addition of Baghdad.

From 10 December 2026, Eurowings will begin scheduled nonstop services to the Iraqi capital from both Berlin and Düsseldorf. Each German airport will receive two weekly flights to Baghdad.

The new services will complement Eurowings existing operations into Iraq and provide travellers with additional direct links between Germany and the country.

Baghdad’s inclusion broadens the airline’s Middle East footprint at a time when demand for direct connectivity between European cities and the region continues to develop.

For passengers traveling between Germany and Iraq, the new routes will reduce reliance on connecting journeys through larger international hubs.

Dubai Capacity Expands Across Three German Airports

Dubai will remain one of the strongest Middle Eastern destinations in the Eurowings winter programme.

The airline plans to operate a total of 14 weekly flights to Dubai during the 2026/2027 winter season.

Berlin will receive the largest share, with one daily flight connecting the German capital with Dubai. Stuttgart will offer four weekly services, while Cologne/Bonn will receive three weekly flights.

The expanded Dubai schedule gives passengers from several parts of Germany more choice when travelling to one of the Middle East’s busiest tourism and business destinations.

The increased frequency also strengthens Eurowings position in a market that attracts winter leisure travellers, corporate passengers and visitors connecting with the wider Gulf region.

Jeddah Gains More Direct Connections

Eurowings will also strengthen links with Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Berlin will operate two weekly flights to Jeddah, while Stuttgart will also receive two weekly services. Cologne/Bonn will have three weekly frequencies.

These connections expand direct travel opportunities between Germany and Saudi Arabia and add another significant Middle Eastern destination to the airline’s winter network.

Jeddah acts as an important gateway for both leisure and religious travel while also serving as a major commercial centre on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast.

Erbil Linked With Six German Airports

Erbil will become one of the most widely connected Middle Eastern destinations in the Eurowings network.

The city will receive direct services from six German airports: Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg, Hanover and Stuttgart.

This broad multi-airport network gives travellers across Germany greater access to Erbil without requiring connections through another European or Middle Eastern hub.

The scale of the Erbil programme also demonstrates the importance of Iraq within Eurowings wider winter strategy.

With both Baghdad and Erbil included in the schedule, the airline is significantly strengthening its Germany-Iraq travel offering.

Tel Aviv, Amman and Beirut Add More Regional Choice

The Winter 2026/2027 schedule will also strengthen connectivity to Tel Aviv, Amman and Beirut.

Tel Aviv will be served three times a week from Düsseldorf.

Stuttgart will gain two weekly nonstop services to Amman, creating a direct connection between southern Germany and the Jordanian capital.

Beirut will benefit from an extensive multi-origin network. Eurowings will connect the Lebanese capital with Berlin, Düsseldorf and Hanover, alongside services involving Prague, Salzburg and Stockholm.

These routes increase travel choice across the eastern Mediterranean and Middle East while allowing Eurowings to spread demand across several European departure points.

Premium BIZ Seat Arrives From December

The airline is combining its route expansion with a new premium onboard product.

From 1 December 2026, Eurowings will introduce its Premium BIZ Seat on all flights to Dubai. The seating concept will also appear on selected services to London Heathrow, Mallorca and Málaga.

The Premium BIZ cabin will occupy the first two rows of the Airbus A320neo.

A total of eight seats will be arranged in a 2-2 configuration, offering significantly more personal space compared with the standard cabin layout.

Passengers will receive wider seats, additional legroom and greater recline. Adjustable footrests will also be included to improve comfort during the journey.

The product is designed for travellers looking for a more spacious experience without moving away from the airline’s short- and medium-haul aircraft model.

Eurowings Strengthens Germany-Middle East Travel

The wider winter expansion gives Eurowings a stronger network between Germany and the Middle East.

Baghdad becomes the headline addition, while higher frequencies to Dubai and expanded connectivity to Jeddah, Erbil, Tel Aviv, Amman and Beirut provide a much broader regional offering.

The schedule also supports travel beyond the Middle East, with Eurowings expanding connections across Northern Europe, Southern Europe, the Canary Islands and Egypt from major German airports.

For travellers, the changes mean more nonstop options, more departure points and greater flexibility during the Winter 2026/2027 season.

The combination of new routes, additional frequencies and the Premium BIZ Seat also shows how Eurowings is targeting different traveller segments at the same time.

Leisure passengers gain more winter destination options. Business travellers receive stronger direct links to major commercial centres. Passengers seeking additional comfort will also have access to an upgraded premium cabin on selected routes.
